It doesn't make sense because I did it and I did not really think through the implications. I would like to see the IH products more as a "catalogue" of IH products - make sense?
"You and Your Iron Hearts" is essentially "WAYJDT = What Are Your Jeans Doing Today?" and should be converted to it. As for the Catalog, YES PLEASE!!!!

Fit Pix can just go into each individual product thread for that particular product. Also, someone please merge the previous conversation from "Random Announcements" as Till is correct. Thank you. Hope this nonsense clears up by the time I get back.

So we'd have the fit pics either as an independent thread or within each product thread and specific to IH products. This will be a very useful product and sales tool.
Then we'd have a WAYWT thread WITH discussion for the love of fashion; not IH specific. This will fuel the flames of the general passion, attract new readers/members and be just plain interesting and inspiring.
Finally, there'd be a thread that allows members to share their other passions be it fly fishing or bottleship building. The activity can be related to IH or jeans but doesn't need to be related. This makes more sense than a "What are your JEANS doing today thread?". After all, my jeans are either being worn, being washed or are hanging on a hanger. They don't do anything without me. … at least I hope so!

Cool. I hope we will see the new product specific threads soon and am looking forward to the WAYWT thread. Is it true that you have to wear at least one piece of IH for pics to appear in that thread and that you can't discuss the outfit? That would take much of the attraction away. For example, if Kiya had wanted to post a pic of his denim suit, that's not IH. Too bad for him. Or say, just for snickers, I wanted to post a pic of me in my new bordeaux/orange ribbon Optimo fedora, I couldn't do that, either, without wearing a piece of IH. I think wearing a piece of IH should be optional in the WAYWT thread. Makes it more fun. And why not discuss the pics? It's a discussion forum after all. No?

WAYWT is for waywt. It doesn't have to be IH. And of course we can discuss or comment on a fit .

I have no idea why you insist on complicating everything by asking more questions that will just confuse everyone? Obviously this forum does not get it.
These should be the threads.
1. WAYWT (Conversation Edition) - Wear any item you want to even if your outfit does not contain IH in it. But in that case, why are you on this forum? I mean I understand the suit thing which sounds fine. If it was a hat or something make a thread for headwear. Just use common sense. It is really not as complicated as everyone is making it out to be. Also Till, you never post photos anyways so why are you so concerned with this topic?
2. WAYWT (Photo Only Edition) - This is so when I or anyone want to browse through photos of peoples outfits, I only have to scroll through 10 pages instead of 50 with off-topic comments.
3. WAYJDT = What Are Your Jeans Doing Today? - Ortherwise known as "You and Your Iron Hearts" should be pictures of you and your jeans engaging in your daily routine. For instance, if you walked your dog and went to a museum you would post pictures to go along with the story/ description of the days events.Again, there is not need for a Fit Pics Thread as those photos can fall into that items particular thread.

Lando - WAYWT and WAYWT chat edition will only make people crosspost pictures. I'd rather see people comment on fits before this board ends up with a bunch of double posts and they comment on both threads….

Sounds great. Obviously not my decision so I will live with whatever you all decide. Hopefully people actually start posting their fits. The way I see it there are about 8 max that post WAYWT pics… Pretty pathetic for 160 members. Oh well.

That's exactly the reasoning. 1 thread should cover the outfit / fit pictures , and it is interesting enough if there are some other jeans popping up. The majority on this board wears IH - so we will get a lot of IH pictures but a couple different brands mixed in won't cause any harm. If the talking gets out of hand - we'll clean it up. Trust me.
Decision about the (FIT) pics of other brands of jeans thread will be made soon - for the above stated reasons. Solution - merge and done.

Good work Beatle and Giles. Makes complete sense to me. Don't forget, we've got "WHAT ARE YOU DOING TODAY (PICS)" too, which seems jeans/clothes agnostic as well. I'll use this one mostly on the weekends, when I'm out and about, doing stuff.

I was thinking that the "News" sub forum is a bit cluttered with double threads from the "Products" sub forum. For instance, "Super Black Vests" and "Posting Images" which Giles started waaaay back and are now no longer necessary should be deleted, NOT merged. There are certain things in each thread that might be useful to merge into a particular products thread, but as far as just merging the thread, it makes the thread hard to follow and unorganized. I know it is nit picking but I guess this is what this thread is for. Thanks!
