IHSH-21-BLU - 10oz Selvedge Chambray Work Shirt - Blue
-
Just a few weeks ago I posted my disappointing experience with IHSH-91. Thanks a lot @joephoto @neph93 I took your advice and sized my work shirt order down to L. Unfortunately I could not find any IHSH-91s available, but after getting this blue beast I'm surely far from disappointment. I think sleeves are now perfect, and I think fit cannot be much better. My new favourite definitely! Hope it doesn't shrink a lot when washing?

Nice work shirt on this one here! Is there anything to fade in these? Any long term usage pictures from anyone please? I'm considering this!

They are not indigo dyed so no fades in that respect. They do age beautifully however. Browse this thread from the start for examples.

Would this look good on a skinny guy like me? I weigh in at 140 pounds and 178cm. All the pictures I have seen in this thread are with sizes M and upwards and they definitely look good! Haven't seen one image of someone wearing it in size Small.
I'm looking at this shirt that I can wear forever and I believe that it does!
What do you think @neph93 ?

Very hard to say buddy. Some people feel that work shirts are better if you are broad over the shoulders, but body types are very different, regardless of weight and height. Have a look at the IHSH-13-BLU. Same material but in a western cut, without front yokes. Longer, slimmer and more tapered shirt.

Western shirts are not for me for the fact that they have push type buttons. I somehow don't prefer them! What is also a little bit not to my liking in this IHSH-21 is the fact that the side profile of them! It feels like a hanging curtain, but they do look good on every single image that I see here!

Selvedge Chambray - Is that made out of 100% cotton? I will be ordering a shirt from IH this week, but haven't decided which one. I'm considering this one and the Vermilion Work shirt that is due to be released this Friday! Why I'm tempted to this one is the fact that the color of this shirt stays as it is form the reactive dyed warp. This is a big deal for me!

How hard is it to get this tailored? I mean if I want it a little bit snug, would any nearby tailor be able to alter it for me given the fact that it is triple stitched?

I’ve had a triple-stitched work shirt tailored before with satisfactory results. I only did it because the shirt was inexpensive (on sale) and a size too big. It meant that the total price wasn’t silly.
The tailor wanted to alter the construction of the shirt to make it easier to stitch, so I lost the side gusset. You would need to trust your tailor and have a good conversation first to make sure your expectations are met.
Personally making major changes to new, full price items is not something I would do so much. IH products are designed the way they are for a reason. I prefer to trust that vision. Work shirts are work shirts and I don’t see the point in paying money for something just to make it into something else. But many seem to do it with jeans, jackets and shirts.
