IH-634S-19L - 19oz Left Hand Twill Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans

Quick fit pics. Need to sort out how to cuff em, but you get the idea. They’re a tag 34. Very hard to button, but this is more fabric rigidity than being too small. Once I got them done up they felt tight but not uncomfortably so. One hour later they‘ve already relaxed some.
Undecided on how to cuff with sneakers:
@SKT the fabric is bananas, give them a try if you can!
@dinobarnesberlin I’ve tried 555, 777 and 888 with 888 becoming my “go-to”. Never tried the 666 but that’s because on paper the thigh looks too small for me. I think I might fully be a 634 guy from now on though.
-
@jerkules I’m thinking along those lines as well.
I’m just super happy to have found my cut.
I knew the 555s were too slim for me right from the dimensions.
The 777s too.
I’m going to give these 634 19leftys some hard wear and tear for a year. -
@dinobarnesberlin amazing fabric isn't it?! Wear them in good health, I look forward to seeing yoursin a year!
-
@jerkules it really is a great fabric.Filthy kept saying how great they were and I finally caved in .
The electric blues are already kicking in and the progress comes pretty quick.
I’ll get around to posting soon️ -

self-control and delayed gratification...
Sorry I don't understand...
Seriously though, it's good to do this if you have the control. I kinda exercise a one-in, one-out policy for shirts as I have "enough". For trousers I generally own one indigo, one black, one chino and one cargo at any given time. If there's something I really want to try, I shift something else first. I sold my slubs to grab these.
-
@jerkules Feel like you've gotten the normal amount of stretch on these? Saw your recent WDYWT pics and they look great.
I got my usual size 36 on sale and I can't decide if they're a bit too snug or I'm just not used to the rigidity! They fully button, but I'm on day 3 and the waist isn't terribly comfortable- it's been a while since I really felt like I needed to break in a pair of jeans.
-
@october-rust thanks, I’m really pleased with this pair!
i’m pretty sure I got the reported 1 inch stretch, but haven’t checked by measuring yet. They we’re definitely hard going for a few days and the rigidity definitely gave them a more snug feeling. I grabbed a tag 34 which came with a 33.5 inch waist, which is definitely on the tighter side for me. They are very comfortable now, but have retained their rigidity.
I’m away from home right now, but when I return I’ll measure and report back the stretch I achieved.
-
@jerkules don’t worry! In the last couple days they definitely got more comfortable. I didn’t get measurements of my pair before wearing them but they’ve for sure stretched in the waist which was all I needed.
-
@october-rust that’s great to hear! I defo had a few days of worrying that my pair were too tight at first. Glad you've got what you wanted. The denim is great, no? I think my fav IH fabric that I’ve tried yet.
-
@jerkules I'm partial to the 18oz vintage but give me a few weeks to break these in! I will say it seems like they'll be fast faders- even in just a handful of days I can see the electric blue whiskers peaking through in the sunlight.
