I think the outdoor photos make it look a bit blue but in person the shirt is black as the night. Grey's popping out for sure though. Smoky greys. ️

@Oaktavia16oz SBG
Wuuh?!
Edit: I had no idea the 16oz SBG or the super stealth existed! Damn! I feckin want one of those!!! Just browsed both threads and wow…glad I was able to see some super faded black denim shirts. I would love to see both 14ozbb and 16ozsbg next to one another to compare. I don't think the 14oz could stand up on its own. But I would think the fades would or could be pretty similar?

Day 44 I think and 2 machine washes. Just starting to see evo. Been wearing it to bed a lot lately.
Wow, i'd have assumed you'd put much more than 44 days on that :o Did you take your usual size in this? Large seems a little tighter than usual but could probably make it work! Or I could wait for XL to restock…

It seemed super stubborn at first but has started to really shed black. It may be more than 44 days bc I don't always mark my calendar at work…all employees get paper calendars and I try to write "295" on days I wear it. Could be closer to 50 days plus wearing it to sleep.
Trust the size chart and not the tag size the crew says. I sized up to XXXL with this while I sometimes wear XXL.

Wearing it to sleep!? Is this something you do regularly?
I do enjoy getting an extra few hours in my jeans if I ever crash on a friends couch, but I have always been curious as to how a year long 'denim pyjamas' experiment would turn out.
Reckon I could make it work in a pair of 14ozers…

I got the idea from @Filthy who has been known to wear his heavyweights to sleep at night. I tried wearing XHS or even 21oz to bed and couldn't get to sleep in them, it was super uncomfortable for me and especially my wife. I can get away with wearing my 295ib and 295bb to sleep with regular pj bottoms though if it's cold enough.

I'm waiting for this beauty of a shirt to be restocked in my size XL, but I'm at the same time wondering if I should go for a lighter black shirt, like the:
IHSH-218-BLK - 12oz Western Shirt "Johnny Cash" Black
or the
IHSH-235-BLK - 13oz Military Serge Western Shirt Black
The reason for this is that I currently have Indigoferas 14oz Copeland shirt in Gunpowder black, and as much as I love it, it doesn't get the wear I'd like to give it. It's more of an overshirt than an actual shirt.
My question is, is this 14 oz fabric wearable as an actual shirt? Or is it more like a jacket?
Do any of you have any experience with my 2 other options? And what's the main difference between the military serge shirt (235-BLK western) and the Johnny Cash black (218-BLK western)? Is it just the 12 vs 13 oz difference?
Sorry for so many questions, I'm really curious to know if there's a design difference on a "military serge western shirt" and the other two western options.

I have both the 14oz westerns - the IB & BB - and wear both of them as shirts and I tuck them. I have all the varieties of the 33’s (12oz) including the JC and now rarely wear them and have the 14oz in regular rotation. It’s hard to go back to 12oz after wearing the 14oz. Hoping IH releases some more variations of the 14oz westerns in the future.

Thanks, JG That sounds really good. I'm all for heavy fabrics, and even tucking in (sometimes) as long as it's practical and wearable.
I wish we had more Iron Heart stockists here in Sweden to be able to try and compare different options. At least we have Blackways/Bad Weather Cafe down in Malmö, and as good as they are, they understandably don't carry the widest selection of Iron Heart products.
