IHSH-332-SAX - Ultra Heavy Flannel Anniversary Check Western Shirt - Sax

Large nabbed! Be prepared for an in-depth comparison to my IHSH-01!
I too, grabbed a Large. I think we're about the same size, so it makes me feel better knowing you got the large as well. Sleeves are a little longer than I prefer, but it'll be fine

This was too good to pass up - XXL ordered. My only dilemma was whether or not to swap out the snaps for pearl ones…

My best pal in the world is a very big fella, he usually needs the XXXXL. I copped him a shirt and myself one too. But I promise we'll only wear them at the same time in Gosport. Someday that will happen. I am so sorry to have missed the party.
I am now a confirmed work shirt only guy. Until now. Again.

And here I am not knowing how to delete this mistake. I shouldn't be allowed out of the house much less to England.

Oof, I really love this color. Thinking about making a poor financial decision…
Also, can anyone explain what SAX stands for? I tried Googling it, and I just get brass instruments.
-
I believe it means Saxon blue?

Large here too. The sleeve is 1.1" longer than the 316 I compared it to, but the shoulder is 0.3 shorter. So this may be a case where I fold back both cuffs instead of my customary left-cuff-only to make room for my watch.

I am guessing it is a tartan from Saxony, but in IH lore it means a tartan colorway with a dominant pale blue.
It's indigo mixed with sulfuric acid which creates that pale blue–I don't think that is literally the dye in use, but more a reference to the color as @popvulture indicated.

IF these had more shrink potential then I would’ve gone for an XL and done a hot wash/ dry. However given their OD status I think this one should fit spot on. I’m very excited to get this shirt.

Congrats who whoever scored the last XXXL while I was checking out, lol. Looks like I'm going XXL and dropping pounds.

Should be able to shrink a 1/2 size with a hot wash according to the website… I'm smack in the middle, I normally go XXXL.
IH has sent this to many stockists it looks like so there are other XXXLs to be had.

There's also going to be, like, 2 dozen stockists of this shirt according to the first page of this posting. If you're in the states, for instance, Self Edge has plenty of 3XL and 4XL still in stock.

I have quite a few UHF work shirts, but I made an exception and snagged this western shirt. My work shirts are size large, and that's what I stuck with on this shirt. I always wear a crewneck T shirt under my UHFs. I'm 5'10", 168 pounds, 40R sport coat.
