Nike, Swoosh, Jordan, Jumpman, Air and All That!

I am in the same boat as shoreman, I love my nike and jordans and I have one made in UK NewB, which I do not wear. the shoe is great for sure, I love especially the sole. anyway a great comfortable shoe with a great heritage.
per Wikipedia NewB relocated 75% of the made in US production to China and Vietnam (ghostshift) per a research of fortune magazine in 2006 (see foot note 9) -
That's why I don't buy Made in the USA New Balances. I only buy Made in the UK. I've seen several videos of the plant where my sneakers are made, this cannot be said about Nikes being made in Asia. My mom is Korean and she is a retired factory worker and I've seen how they treated her, and this is in America.

I was under the impression that Nike was particularly stringent about factory conditions in its supply chain these days, owing to a great deal of campaigner pressure in the past. When these companies are watched, they tend to behave a lot better than the Chinese factories producing generic goods, which I suspect are truly horrible.
Agree though that Made in England New Balance cannot be beaten. I love my 576.
