Y’2 Leathers….
-
Size 42 delivered from S&S this morning. Definitely a snug fit but I think I made the right choice. Like most, I cant wait to see it evolve! -
The sleeves are already starting to conform to my shape. This HH really is thicker than anything I've ever had. Also, I'm in Tx so likely going to be another office jockey.... This is my 2nd Y'2 piece. -
Last one. I originally got this in a 42 and had to size up to 44. I probably could have gotten 46 even though I wear a 42S suit jacket off the rack at places like Banana Republic. I have the 42 available for sale if that's in anyone wheelhouse. Y'2..... the addiction I didn't need! -
@Rooney-04 fit pics you tease!

@Rooney-04 curious — what's your height/weight? I've looked at The Shop's stuff and have guessed I'd wear a 44, but I wonder if I might even need to go up one more. I'm a 42 jacket though too, so maybe we're roughly the same size.

@thooy05 might need to save me from myself and block this thread.

@popvulture I'm 5'10", 195lbs and broader ish shoulders. I'm working on getting back down to 185 though. So hopefully that will open things up a bit. But the tape measure tight around my chest is exactly 42". S&S marks the chest as 45" but The Shop has it more accurate at 44". I rolled the dice hoping the extra space would help me out. Alas... mine measure 22" P2P exactly. Since the sleeves and length are the same, I'd size up to 44 if you fit my measurements and want room to layer at all. I like the fitted look but I prefer comfort/moveability and my body shape just doesn't seem to be conducive to their sizing for the best of both worlds. Does the HH open up at all with long term wear? Anybody?

@thooy05
Love this one. This and the Indigo Grizzley are on my bucketlist. -
@Rooney-04 ahh, gotcha. I might need to do 46 then if I get one, because 23" is usually a good measurement for me to fit my chest and have a little room. Plus the shop guy's shoulders are narrower and he wears a 42 — that's led me to think just going one size up from him would be tough for me. I can get away with 22 across in the chest on stuff but it's the shoulders that get me. I like that camel roughout one he sells.
EDIT: for that one it looks like 44 would be good for me — 23.5 in the chest. Might even be a little too big there but the shoulders would work. Anyway, not like I have the money or anything haha, but can't help but fantasize.

My (size 46) Y2 single rider has opened up, but it’s taken around ~50 wears or so. I sized up for the chore jacket (48), but I think the horsehide stiffness is what contributes to the immobility (especially at the shoulders), because even though the fit is much better in the (48), it’s still quite difficult to move my shoulders

@flannel-slut
I'm not great at taking selfies. The fit feels like it could turn into perfection when this eventually softens and shapes to me. That's what I'm really hoping for since i wore it today and can no longer exchange it. -
@Rooney-04 I think that looks great, and will fit well long term!

@Buckeye

Looks like you are close to my size. 5'9" 200lbs 43"chest, also trying to get down to 185 lol
XL in a RGT supply jacket 23p2p
between L and XL in freenote RJ1,RJ2 24p2p
usually a XXL in ironheart, my XXXL whipcord type 3 23.6p2p feels too large, my XL 23p2p shirt feels a hair snug.
42 in my old schott
My type 1 is a 42 and snug, but I could still drive a car and think it will break in to be the perfect size. (would have assumed I was a 44)
I went to the shop on the weekend and tried the roughout chore in a 44, it felt great, I can't wait to get one. TJ was super nice to talk with, I was a bit overwhelmed looking at all the cool stuff.
I was going to try a 46 chore but didn't bother as the sleeves on the 44 were already a hair long, and it felt fine through the chest, way easier to raise my arms than the HH type 1. In hindsight I should have tried a size 42 in the chore shirt to compare.Bought some mustang paste, but not sure if I should get the jacket damp and wear it to shape it first, the paste might just make the water bead off.
