Hell yeah man, love that one. Took me forever to find a copy.

@SKT there’s a good chance you’re well aware of it, but have you heard Loose Fur? Tweedy’s side project with Jim O’Rourke and Glenn Kotche. Their first record’s sort of a precursor to YHF — some sketch elements of the latter’s songs show up on it. I love the second one though, really sort of a precursor to Sky Blue Sky, but a little scuzzier in places and O’Rourke brings this cool sort of Nilsson/Bacharach-y balladeer element to it. Crazy good.

Couldn’t resist

@popvulture I’ve known of Loose Fur but never taken the time to listen. Will remedy that…sounds totally interesting
-
@SKT the time for you to partake has come
That born again album @popvulture has is probably my favorite
Edit: if you make it that far next step on your stations of the cross journey should be O'rourkes 2 solo records around that time that kotche and tweedy (he was only on one i think ) played on

So good. I feel like O’Rourke is totally a latter day John Cale, with that same sweet spot of amazing chamber pop amidst the overall avant-ness. I’m gonna put on Eureka next.

The artwork though.....

Hahaha it’s so excellent

Now something completely different from some neighbors in the O section…

Continuing the 90s Brit guitar god theme with this truly bizarre bootleg pressing. I have no idea what I’d call this color — “Squeeze of the Bar Rag?” Maybe “Vomit Au Lait?” Reminds me of being 8 and throwing everything in the blender.

Bought this on Saturday

@steelydan I know nothing about this one
What's the story?
Edit: ahh it's a comp from that label
(Still want the rundown though)
