Should we place bets on who Suarez will bite today?
-
Gutted to see Suarez happy. Ahh well.
Anyone else have a hard time not thinking of Alan Partridge when watching the ITV pundit crew? I sent this pic to Private Eye years ago, but they didn't take any notice

I was pulling for Uruguay over Portugal in this for reasons I can't really explain. The end did get nervy but they held on. Again…really enjoying this world cup.
Now if Mexico can beat Brazil tomorrow I'll be a happy man.

Absolutley, Mbappe has a ridiculously bright future ahead of him…obviously. I feel like Pogba will do a lot of maturing at this world cup as well, I can already see it in his play.
-
Doesn't bother me at all. Neither team was that great, especially Argentina.
-
Our first game that's gone to penalties. Penalty kicks in the rain. I love this shit.
-
Wow

… with the underdog the winner. Big names out galore.
Can't say I much care for the Russian audience. Supporting the home team is of course fine, but guys, you're the hosts, remember? -
I am loving this. What a game and what a save!!

That was a pretty fun end to the game! Crazy World Cup so far. Gives me (probably unwarranted) hopes and dreams for the England squad!
Was surprised and disappointed to see that perfectly legitimate single-footed sliding tackles are now considered a foul if your opponent happens to fall over the ball in the process. When EPL referees decided to make legitimate two-footed sliding tackles a red card offense a few years back, it was pretty shocking to me… but I kind of got it. But one-footed, crunching sliding tackles are my absolute favourite part of playing football. Especially here in the US where pretty much no one does 'em and you get to send some poor guy unexpectedly flying and come away with the ball. It warms the very cockles of my heart. (Or did, when I was playing with any regularity.) I guess 'winning the ball' doesn't count for diddly squat anymore.
