Wabbidashery… aka, The Heritage Heaven Tour

@jordanscollected I do not recall ever reading about you playing pool. Looks like a rather serious competition and probably a far cry from what I used to drunkenly play in the pub.
Also, what is the location you take your WAYWT selfies? At home?

Dude @endo That's a really cool effect on the photo. I'm saving that as a background for my computer. I got really lucky taking the photo. I set the 10 second timer, leaned the phone on the window sill and hustled around the table into that position completely interrupting my teammates (practice) game. Didn't expect the face shadowing and lit up Wabash.
@tody I have had a table at my home for 20+ years and I have played league pool for that long too. I can't say this without tooting my own horn, but I play at a mid to high amateur level and that being so none of my friends will play me in pool and bar pool isn't interesting to me at all. There just isn't much competition. I do like to play when I travel to say I played pool in such and such country or state.
The photos you see most often during the week are taken in my office. the open door (and futon behind it) are the owners office but he's never in as early as I am.

@endo done and done. So much better than having a normal photo of myself as my background, though I wouldn’t be opposed to it.

That's right @tody. We have a wooden boardwalk about a mile long just short way from the office and I pop out to get the blood flowing almost daily.

Horses in varying climates grow winter coats in the winter months and shes them in the spring. However it’s not the weather variance that determine the coat growth or shedding. Its the daylight hours. The horses’ pituitary gland recognizes change in daylight hours and produces hormones that cause the hair growth and loss.
The spring is an especially variable time for weather in MN. We’ve had an 80 degree day 4 weeks ago and today it’s in the 30s with flurries. The worst weather for horses though is just above freezing and raining. The wet coat keep them from warming themselves with their natural body heat (enhanced greatly by eating, horses eat to stay warm).
So on really cool spring days we will throw blankets on them to make sure they stay warm enough. And since they are massive animals with no regard for how much things cost, they will most likely tear the material and break the straps by the time the weather warms up.

Quick and easy pasta dish from last night. Norman ranch sweet Italian sausage, peppers, mushrooms, onions, capers sautéed in pork fat. Romesco sauce thinned out with a little bone broth. Gluten free fettuccine.

@jordanscollected good lord that looks delicious!! Literally those photos made my stomach begin to growl!!
Also, very interesting science on why horses grow thicker fur and seasonal impact!

Last night we made candles. The 3 wick candle is for a friends wedding to honor her mother that passed, and the smaller candles are for my wife’s business.
Soy wax
Essential oils
Herbs and crystals
