After 5+ years of searching, bidding wars and housing market swings, my wife and I finally purchased a hobby farm. The horses are coming home!
If I'm on here and posting less in the near future, It's because we have a shit ton to do to get our house listed, sold, and ready to move into the new place.
A few pics of the property. 12+ acres mostly pasture, a 4-stall barn and a really well taken care and updated horse setup (the giant barn to the left is the neighbor). We can shut the gate at the end of the driveway and be fully fenced in to let the horses roam about if we want.
Prepare for more pictures of horses, chickens, new hobby farm owner mistakes, and whatever other animals my wife brings home while I'm at work.

Excessive rain has a stretch of about 500 yards of our trail flooded anywhere from 6” to 2’ deep. The horses love splashing through it.

We hosted an event last night. What was supposed to be a nice evening outside on the farm turned into a rainy crap evening and my paella tuned into a chilly yet scenic garage activity.
The night was legit though and the ladies had a great time.
Remember that Self edge has an exclusive black color 216 in this fabric. Some sizes in stock
@Giles I'm guessing indigo blue wasn't an option?
@Oaktavia The cut seems similar to my Saturday Type fever shirt. Boxy/breezy but still flattering. I bet most people could size down in this and have a great daily driver for summer.
Looks like a floating flop house! And it also looks like that solar panel has the day off today. Re: the condition of the boat, Give it a once over with a paper towel and she's sea ready.
Selling my 888xhs. Worn sparingly and washed twice. Great condition with a bit of cuff abrasion on the front both sides. Reach out with questions or for more photos.
I would entertain trades for 36 waist 634

@bluemantra I had a nine lives shirt that was way too long. I washed it and made sure all the shrink was out and then I had it shortened a couple inches. If you wear that untucked most of the time you'll get tired of the long length and not reach for it. Luckily, bringing a hem up is a rather easy job for a seamstress. Don't be afraid to throw another $40 to get it where you want it.
@Giles That was a fantastic read. The folks at the Marina must see you as a model boat owner. I had this elevated view of your marina being full of active and engaged sailors I failed to see what's in front of my face. someone in my family has a boat in the marina on the river here in town and the shape of fellow boats and actions of fellow sailors sounds very similar. There's plenty of rotting boats, boats that never get launched in the first place when the ice is out, and many boats that are used as a weekend getaway but never leave port. So many people come down to the dock just to hang out and drink visit with other boat owners. Gas is so damn expensive a 3 hour cruise up and down the river can cost $300 in gas. plenty of people can't swallow that every weekend for reasons you stated. They inherited the boat, or bought it cheapish only to realize that boat ownership cost doesn't end at the purchase. It begins there.
do most boat owners just pay to have this done @Giles? or do they do it themselves less frequently? Does the marina require boats to be taken out and maintained a number of times per year? or do you simply not have a choice if you want your boat operational?
maybe it's like getting a vehicle serviced. every 6 months you have to take her out and give it a once over?
