IHSH-368-IND - 14oz Double Cloth Western Shirt - Indigo
Upon first glance, this classic western cut could easily be mistaken for a lined shirt. But, in fact it’s constructed from a double weave cloth. Producing double weave cloth is a complex process which involves intricately weaving two separate sets of warps and wefts on the same loom, to create a fabric with two distinct faces.
Woven on a dobby loom to create a more pronounced texture, this particular double-cloth utilises a cotton / poly / acrylic blend. With its indigo rope-dyed face and a patterned reverse, the result is a substantial feeling fabric which is both soft and durable, creating a visually striking, heavyweight shirt that’s perfect for the colder months.

@T4920 bloody hope not
Hahaha! Adam, do you know if there are plans to roll out other shirts with these sort of double pockett snaps? I'd love to get this variation on a denim type fabric that will fade nicely.
-
@AdamJ yes, sorry didn’t realize it was called sawtooth - the name makes perfect sense. Just think it’s a nice variation.

Man I was looking through the collection this morning and not sure how I missed this one. Looks like a killer piece!! Looking forward to this one
-
I want this one alot
Probably grab this -
I’ve become very interested in the make up of this fabric. Like how are the two layers connected? Two warps facing outward and inward with interlacing wefts? Which layer has the poly and acrylic? I imagine a cotton indigo exterior layer that appears ind/ind that blends into a softer blended lining. Man I’ll bet this is a fantastic concoction.

@Giles Thank you! I did some looking into it last night also and it's interesting stuff for sure. Looks like it can be done in many different ways as well.
I'll bet this'll be a special one. The exterior definitely appears to be 'denim' and looks like it has some fade potential and the inside seems like a soft tri-blend or something. I might have to go for it.
-
Gotta say, I'm also loving the measurements on these as well. Some of the other XLs have shoulders under 19" and it's def a squeeze.
-
@WhiskeySandwich Yes, you're correct - the outer face is woven from 100% Supima cotton, whilst the inner face is a polycotton blend. The exterior face is very denim-like and is pure indigo rope-dyed, so definitely expect it to fade. Breakdown for the complete piece of cloth is 75% cotton, 15% polyester and 10% acrylic. Hope that's helpful!
