Hey Guys,
Wanted to post my new acquisition before I wore them. These are deadstock, made in US, moc toe work oxfords that Carolina no longer produces. I have been jonesing for a pair of the Thorogood moc toe oxford (no longer in production either) or the Redwing (8100 series) but I got lucky and found these at a local shoe store for $50.00, which beats the $130.00 price for the Thorogoods (assuming I could find a pair in my size) and the $230.00 price for the Redwings! The saleslady was funny when she said “That box is really old looking… Do you want a newer box?” She didn’t seem to appreciate that I actually wanted the older shoes and their box! Oh well…
I don’t know what the actual date of manufacture is but they are in excellent shape just like they had been made yesterday! The leather has a bit of wax reside, but that’s nothing a good brushing won’t take care of! And I’m hoping that the waxiness is a sign that quality leather was used for the build! I was a bit concerned about the soles at first since they are older and could have deteriorated a bit since new, but they seem to be in excellent shape as well, so all is good! Now, time to put some miles on these bad boys!

They will pair up great with the 6634 after a hem, wish Leffot had any in my size left when the sale was announced …

no idea on footwear for the mega-foot-covered-in-leather-&-other-fabrics-thingy. i need to go through my boots/shoes/cloggs to decide.
might put up a poll to entertain if i find the time . . . .
those cords pair well with everything FurattoHeaddo, meant to thank the guy that pushed them on to me :D. to remain off track i swear i could wear them in a smaller size, no problems at all with the fit ::)
