IHSH-361-BLK - 16oz Non-Selvedge Denim Western Shirt - Superblack (Fades To Grey)

@T-J for what it's worth I think you nailed the sizing!
-
are you guys thinking about doing a workshirt version of this?
-
@scarfmace No plans at present. Just the CPO to follow for now. Great idea though

I picked one up in XL yesterday from Rivet & Hide in that London.
It is an excellent shirt. Thick, stiff, oozes quality. It promises to last decades of regular wear.

Looks killer, man! I'm itchin for the CPO and maybe oversizing a bit for layering. Recently got the 235-blk in a XL, but definitely a bit snug for a hoodie under. How do you go about sizing the shirts? They seem pretty narrow in the shoulder for me.

Nowadays usually wear a XXL or XXXL depending on how I want to wear it. For this one, I went with XXXL so I can layer over UHFs in the colder months. I totally could fit into a XXL if I wanted a more fitted look. With this 16oz I figured it would be better to go bigger on account of its heaviness and I'm glad I did. I can still wear it with just a tshirt as in the photo I posted.
These days, I like wearing my shirts and pants on the larger side (sized up). With shirts I used to size down to even XL but at the end of the day, I now go for comfort rather than form fitting denim. I like to have room to layer and move around.

@Oaktavia I appreciate the rationale. Due to the extra weight of this one I think the CPO would work well as an overshirt/jacket, seeing as I already have a black shirt in serge that's more form-fitting. Getting super pumped for this SBG in a CPO
-
@WhiskeySandwich no problem man, happy to help. I also have a more form fitting black top (295bb) and like having options.
Definitely get pumped for the 16oz SBG, it's incredible.

Waiting patiently for a suicidal Mosquito to try its luck against the 16 oz SBG .. and inevitably break its proboscis. Macro photo function on the pixel 7 pro should capture the act in all its painful detail.
No luck so far...

Nice one BTW I tried this combo yesterday and liked it a lot

@Anesthetist yeah man Ravens colors never die!

Threw my shirt in the tub for a hot soapy soak with Dr. Bronners Lavendar soap (my favorite). Just needed to make sure I got the river out of it. I put it back on damp and the crease reset better than before, it helps to keep the arms bent while soaking. No shrinkage of course, but the shirt overall feels a bit better and drapes nicer. On day 6 now and have slept in it 4 nights. Starting to see first signs of evo which leads me to believe it will fade quickly.
