IH-555D - 17oz Duck Super Slim Cut Jeans - Brown

@AdamJ will we get this beauty in Germany too?
-
@FlavourFade No, they did not opt to stock them
-
@Zinc2162 Dig that look
-
@AdamJ thanks Adam. But is an order from IH Uk possible? I remember ordering a pair of IH sneakers from you that was a little more effort from both sides than just order and wait for a package
-
@FlavourFade You can order from us yes. Shipping to Germany has been somewhat more problematic since we left the EU in some instances, but it should be just order and wait patiently
-
@AdamJ thanks then I can work out sizing
-
Hey there @Zinc2162 … Ive just ordered some of these. How are the knee and hem measurements on them ? Your picture looks great, but Im worried they might be a little tight for me. (They seem to have smaller measurements than all the other 555s)
-
Hey @NorvilleRogers
I just measured mine. The knee is 7.9inch and hem is 7.1, which are quite close to IH measurements. Mine is tag size 32. Hope this helps. -
Thanks @Zinc2162
I’ve ordered hemming with mine so theres no going back! Ive got skinny legs so fingers crossed. -
@Zinc2162 how would you describe the breathability compared to 21oz denim?
-
Hi @FlavourFade
I saw a discussion on this earlier in this thread so I was wondering myself too. I have gotten mine only a few days ago and haven't gotten them hemmed yet so I am just wearing around the house. I do find the duck less breathable compare to my 555 21oz. Having said that, my 21oz are almost two years old and have stretched to a point that they are a little loose so this may impact breathability too.I will report back after a few months.
-
Thanks buddy!
-
@AdamJ still sneaking around these. In the 777d thread eberybody seemed to size up, but the 555d seem to look similar to my 555s-21... Should I size up anyway since there won't be much stretch? Thanks in advance
-
@FlavourFade these are on the slim side.. I went with my usual 555 tag size and could barely get my legs in them. Hemmed them too so can’t return them either.. I’ve spent two days in them now and I’m not sure if they have maybe stretched half an inch or I’ve just got used to the pain
-
@DeeDee85 okay now it's getting complicated. My 21oz 555 are a little more relaxed so maybe I could go with the same size. But since I'd have to order from UK to Germany and def will need a hemming I don't want to mess up. Afraid of having way to wide legs when I go one size up... Maybe I wait for the restock of 777D and check if some german retailer stocks them.

@FlavourFade would be worth ringing IHUK Tuesday morning for a chat? I usually buy a tag 34 in the 555 cut and aim for a waist measurement of around 34.5 to 35 and then stretch them a wee bit. The tag 34 555 ducks are listed as 35.6 waist and I could barely fasten them or get them over my thighs. They are wearable just going to take a lot of effort to break in. If you compare the thigh measurements to other 555 denims these are about the slimmest 555 so far. I do think you could go up a size, I certainly wish I had
-
Yeah okay that could be worth a try thanks buddy
-
Hi @FlavourFade
I don’t know if this helps at all, but I was in the same position…. I didnt know whether to wait for the 777 , but impatience got the better of me. So i ordered the 555 (with hemming) and went for a size 31 ( my actual waist is 33). The measurements were exactly as advertised on IH, and whilst they are probably slimmer than I would normally go for, I think they fit alright. And they definitely loosen up a little with wear. Hope that helps mate. -
@NorvilleRogers thanks a bunch! I think they look great on you. Right now I am wearing 777 mostly but I have a pair of 555 21 oz which I have send away for hemming and when they return I will check again how they fit in the waist and thighs. I have only worn them 5-6 times and they are a little more relaxed since I can't go full slim because of my belly
they may already have given a little - I will check if they are closer to 36 now or still like original 35 waist measurements. Then decide what to do about the almighty duck
