Belts

I recently purchased this indigo dyed leather belt from Aizome Aobozu on Instagram. The fella is hella nice and is even making me a custom size with no holes so I can make a custom fit.
I hope maybe you'll check out his store. He just had a kid this week so he can use the money.

My favorite belt ever is from Faith, so I love how this buckle and belt is sort of the same dimensions. He told me he will make my belt with all his heart.

I got my new belt today finally. It's extremely thick and well-made. It's slightly more narrow than I had expected. But that actually might work better because it will be more comfortable than my other belt. The buckle won't dig into my gunt quite as much.
I forgot to write I put the holes in the belt myself. It seems like the holes are too far apart on my other belt. Either too tight or too loose. And I only spaced my holes by one inch and on my other belt they are like an inch and a quarter apart.

Dig into your gunt! Bwaha! @Filthy

That looks really nice. Is the leather especially thick, and if you don’t mind me asking, how much was it?
Thanks @Jett129. The leather is thick but not freakishly so - about 4mm. I have bought from Barnes & Moore before and Steve there is lovely to deal with if you have any questions. More details of this belt are here if you want them. https://www.barnesandmoore.co.uk/shop/belts/garrison-english-leather-belt-copperhead-oak-bark/

Holy crap @ARNC love the belt but this is also a cool concept–tattooing leather.

Thanks. I love the idea of the tattoo series (and the dragon was really cool) but I’m not into long wallets. Hope they revisit the idea at some point.

Same–a belt using that technique would be very cool though. Agreed that the dragon design was super cool.
I carry minimalist wallets and it's hard to beat my little Dyneema bifold for a wallet that has enough storage but is barely noticeable in the pocket, so I don't think I'll ever get leather again just because it can't match the thinness and weight.

This is the belt he made for me. @pechelman does this help?
Thanks, @Jett129. It answers most of it but still wondering about the hardware being rivets or threaded Chicago screws. Been meaning to message him directly but haven't gotten there yet today.
-
That’s definitely my next belt from him and I’ve even bought a special buckle for it. Any chance you could post a picture of yours? @FlannelnBooze
I'll post a photo once I have it.
FYI, he uses rivets for better durability, but he said I could request screws to swap out the buckle. I nearly swapped to screws so I could put the occasional large belt buckle on, but opted to keep this one 'standard' with the quick release buckle. May want to send him a message to confirm before spending the money and expecting to swap out the buckle yourself.
. @pechelman This might answer your question.

Anyone know of any good belts that would match WESCO's burgundy domain?

I have recently discovered redwing belts and quite pleased. Unfortunately I can't grab the hawthorne one that looks epic due to jean dye but the russet is great.

Pigeon Tree Leather has a pretty wide range/assortment of leathers and if he doesn’t have it he might be willing/able to track it down for you. Usually a pretty long wait for one of his belts.
I second this. Love burgundy and it pairs so well with denim.

Since you all know much about everything, it seems appropriate I post my question on here.
I'm looking for a good take on the belt buckle posted below. I have been using belts like these since forever, and I'd like to know if any of the reputable belt makers use a buckle like this - can't seem to find anything anywhere. I particularly like the adjustability, and the fact that you don't have holes in your belt.
