@Brian Your first tattoo? Haha
First and only
It’s barely noticeable now after 30 years but did lead to the school banning fountain pens at least for a few students -
@ddtrash yea those look pretty similar. The difference between the 600 and 3-in-1 is like holding a normal pencil and a sharpie.
-
Forgot to mention for my main pen I have a Montblanc Meisterstück that I got at a thrift store (in the original box!) I rarely use pens these days, though. Mostly have gravitated toward pencils, since I make a lot of mistakes.
My main pencils are the rOtring 600 (which I think I'm going to grab the 800 this week), or Blackwing 602's or Palomino's. Also, since I have nobody else to talk with about this, the SumoGrip erasers are my favs (always have one on my desk or in my bag) and I love this pencil sharpener by T'gaal.

great thread @chrisjohnnick
some of my favourites

@endo I’ve always thought those Kaweco pens look pretty damn cool!
-
@popvulture they do, good value for their price
and these are usually with me when travelling

The black thing here is a Rofmia dyneema organizer designed to fit in the top interior pocket of their Daypack. It’s designed to accordion out so that it is compact by default but able to expand. It has stretch pockets on both sides of the central cavity for organization. If it’s not a pen, it winds up in one of the three side pockets. My Ghurka business card case and pens like the Lamy and Hobonichi tri-color pictured here (and highlighters, refills, and even a Tide stick) live here. This is compact and I can shift items quickly if I need to for example use a higher capacity bag for a single bag overnight trip.

Love that organizer. I have a Peak Design tech pouch that I use in almost the same way. Ironically, it carries no tech.

@chrisjohnnick great thread. Here are some of my most used items. Pretty straight forward…love Blackwing stuff and always keep notes in a Field Notes journal of some type. And Sumo erasers are the bomb!
-
Thanks @chrisjohnnick for starting a thread I never knew I needed. I still take notes in a journal, so I may have to buy myself a nice pen instead of going through an endless supply of branded merch from my employer
-
@endo that Legendar looks pretty awesome.
Nice work starting this thread @chrisjohnnick and perfect timing. I’ve been looking at getting a nice pen.
@jaliskoe has a cool looking Wingback that has my attention. Looks like @Danimal506 has a Tactile Turn bolt action…these two are at the top of my list.
-
@Mizmazzle with a Damascus bolt lever too
-
@Danimal506 nice!!
What size and metal are yours?? -

yeah, pretty legen... wait for it...dary

@Mizmazzle Mine is stainless steel. And the regular size. Not long or short. I can’t remember what the exact name or size is.
Being SS, it’s a bit heavy, but kinda like with Iron Heart, once I got used to its heft, nothing was ever the same. I’d go titanium if I were to buy another one, personally.
