Newbie from The Netherlands.
My name is Bert and I have been wearing raw jeans nearly for a decade now without exeption . Mostly the
Lee 101S dry that fits me very well. I have taken the plonge into the IH stuff as I understood that IH is more or less “the holy grail” of denim and since I wanted to make a new experience in raw denim I thought it would be wise to go all the way. Having said that I wanted of course to try the 21oz IH is so famous for but decided that this would probably be a bit too much at this time of the year so I started of with a 14OZ 777S 142. Upon receipt of the jeans I am impressed by the workmanship . Definately a step up from my Lee 101. The fit is a different thing since I find the 777S a little tight on the upper leg. Waist is fine ( i have bought the 33/36 size) hem width is perfect . Now I don’t know what to expect in terms of stretch but from what I read in this forum particularly this 14oz will not “give in” a lot. I have soaked the jeans in a bath with cold water and a cup of vinegar and let it dry hanging . This to determin the correct length for hemming . The hemming was done in Amsterdam by Yourii from Tenu de Nimes with a authentic Union Royale. Perfect job. Now maybe someone has useful comments on my idea of too tight legs and the probale loosening by wearing them a while.
Anyway happy to have a pair of “the real stuff” . -

Hello from Okinawa! Name's Sam. I technically live in Hawaii, but I'm out here for a few months for work. Anyone who's from/been to Japan have any suggestions for stuff to do out here? Hoping to find some time to go to the Japanese mainland in a couple weeks and need ideas.
All I've got IH-wise so far is a T-shirt and a pair of the 888-XHS', which is less than ideal here in the tropics but I haven't heat-cased yet. Hoping to add to that list soon tho, hopefully with some lighter-weight denim.

If you can I highly recommend a pair of IH slubs for warm, humid conditions.
