I've just been trawling the sales section at Oki-Ni (an expensive London Esher based online boutique), and found this pair of green cordovan trekking boots by A.Coba.It.

I've never heard of the brand before, but given they normally retail at £1400, they're somewhat outside of my price bracket.

Annoyingly, the remaining pair (at £419) is in a UK 8 / US 9 / EU 42, and my feet are significantly larger than that. (My father used to joke I needed to go to Vickers to get shod.) So if anyone else fancies them…

If the boots were in my size, and I wasn't unemployed, I'd be tempted at that price.

I wouldn't spend that much on a pair of off-the-shelf shoes though. I'd save up a bit more and visit one of the bespoke shoemakers, such as Fosters and Maxwell, instead.
