Belt over the patch or under the patch? Which do you prefer and why?

way to pull all those images adam313. seems a valid argument could be made with a little bit of evidence to support it.
despite anyone's personal reasons, i do love that folks are so serious about the way they wear & treat their goods

Ive been looking for this very thread for awhile, and today I found it.
Ive alway been an OVER guy for as long as Ive worn pants.
Even with certain models that allowed you to go under, for some reason I never liked the idea of being a billboard for companies with all their branding.
That changed with my first pair of IH 666 21`s that I got two weeks ago.
I am now wearing my belt UNDER for the simple fact that these patches are really like art. -

Over. Just cuz it’s easier at 5:00 a.m.

Why even bother with a belt at 5:00 ? Ha
Just kidding man…but god is that a harsh hour of the day! -

Im watching you "Bread Guys Baking Bread" and am thinking to myself–
"These Guys are Ali like science and shit up in here" but at the same time...nothing but respect for all of you that are in it! -
I wear my belt under when possible because it really helps fit to have an extra belt loop in that location. I sometimes wish there were one on both sides!

both sides = sweet !

The idea of moisturising makes my teerh itch though.
Combo sunscreen/moisturizer every day for the last 20 years. After I got a bad sunburn on my freshly shaved, pasty white head once in college I decided that was not something I ever wanted to happen ever again. Straight sunscreen smells too strongly and is usually greasy and unpleasant, so here I am…
Oh, and like Giles, I leave my belt in my jeans at all times (under the patch).

Under. Seems like it would be uncomfortable wearing it over because the leather is so thick, and why on earth would anyone want to cover up these glorious patches? It makes me crazy that the 14oz and 16oz denim doesn’t use the thick leather patches, for that very reason.

I’m with @xtcclassic on the lighter weight Jean patches, even a mildly thicker one would really tempt me. In terms of belt, always, always under the patch, the patches are a signature element of the heavier weight jeans that I’ve no issue displaying.

Me too… definitely prefer the thicker open ones.
