IHSH-64 - Extra Heavy Jersey Western Sweat Shirt
-
Decided to cop!
This one almost passed me by but the details and engineering seem next-level and I think unique to what IH can put out there.
Some other pics of this I found out there.
-
Ordered. Now just need a day with temps lower than 80 degrees.
Seriously, I have only been able to wear it in the air conditioning so far, but imo this shirt is a great combo of the ruggedness of IH along with the possibility for a really luxurious garment. Heavy, soft, comfortable. You can't really ask for more!

thomasnunnally, you still in Ottawa? When October arrives, this (and your IHSH-20) will be your best friend.
-
Haha, yep, I am eagerly awaiting the cold again!
-
thomasn, how would you say the warmth of this compares to other heavy IH items (not sure which other ones you own but thinking of stuff like the 32 or IHW-01)? thanks.
-
Not as warm as IHW-01, may be a bit warmer than the 32 but I have not really had a chance to wear mine in cold conditions, so pretty hard to say. I can tell you is the IHW-01 is going to be warmer. The 64 is truly is one of those amazing IH garments however. Really unique to say the least.

I have the IHW-01 and IHSH-20 which I wore last winter. I would say probably will end up being warmer than the 20, but hard to say if it can be warmer than the IHW-01. The wool really blocks wind, which makes it work as a jacket. That said, my IH hooded sweat does actually block the wind (I think the description discusses how it was designed this way), so I can see this jersey knit doing a pretty good job at that as well. Once it cools off more, I can probably do a fair comparison of the 64, 20, 11, and Melton if you are still interested.
-
cool, thanks both zhivago and thomasn.
I won't be able to get my hands on the 64 until the end of the month. was curious more than anything but i should be able to verify myself in a few weeks!
-
Is that the same time you will get that deerskin? shirt that looked so great?
-
Project Deerskin was sadly abandoned and has been consigned to history. long story.
anyway, glad to hear you love the 64 and I am really looking forward to getting hold of it.

Bummer man, I was really excited about that one. Back on topic. The new buttons are awesome. That is all for now!

nice! those new snaps look very cool.

After a big down pour the temp dropped below 70 so on goes the 64. Man this thing Is so good. So heavy and soft, it's almost ridiculous. Compared to my 32, it is a little warmer feeling and the little bit of stretch makes it so wearable. Maybe my new winter favorite.

Forgot to ask, is this a shirt better left folded in a drawer as opposed to being hung? Will the stretchiness with the weight of the fabric allow for it to become misshapen after a while?
