Fun Fun Fun Fest - Austin, TX - Nov 2-4 2012

My wife and I saw Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros live and they were amazing! This lineup is going to be insane. We went last year, and it was some of the most fun I've ever had. It's got a fantastic vibe and it really embodies the name fun fun fun. We stayed downtown at a hotel and rode our bikes to the show. I've been to a bunch of fests, and this one seems to be all the good parts without all the hell!

Yo! I just figured out who you are. I fukin' loved the Doomriders set last year. We were wondering around and I mentioned heading over to the black stage to check it out. Walked up as you guys were getting ready to start. Ended up staying through your entire set. Even pushed close 'cause we liked it so much. I even bought the album on my phone from iTunes. You have no idea how many people I've turned onto Darkness Comes Alive. Lions is one of my top ten songs of last year. Great work man, great work.

whoa!! thats amazing man thanks so much!! we had a blast at that show, even though we played kinda early in the day. we did a show that night at red7 too and it was a complete rager!

On a side note, just listened to the Doomriders track that JSJ mentioned, awesome and I will be buying the album, helped restore my faith in metal.

They are all going to be ok thankfully. I've heard from a few in their camp. though there were some injuries, none are life threatening. I was freaking out yesterday when I heard the news texting and calling people frantically. Awful.
i wish i could give you more info, but i think its best to wait for the band to make a statement, because i'd hate to say anything they are uncomfortable with people knowing.

we've had some close calls in the past, but thankfully nothing like what Baroness is dealing with. This one hit close to home because they are good friends. i'm so happy everyone is ok.

Holy $#&! that's terrible. I really hope they're okay. I hadn't listened to 'em in a while and I was really getting back into it with the release of Yellow&Green. Such talented artists. My thoughts go out to them.

all i can say for sure is that john has a broken arm. he's recovering fine, and his wife and daughter are there in the hospital. allen posted on fb that he's going to be ok but he didn't go into detail about who is injured. my friend's wife was on the bus with them doing merch and she gave us an update saying everyone was going to be ok.

Really been jamming The Black Angels lately. I love how this festival expands my musical portfolio.
