Happy New Year everyone. I hope it's a great one for all of you who follow this thread.
We kick off 2016 with the arrival of the latest denim jackets from Pure Blue Japan.The Natural Indigo Denim Jacket is in the Type 2 style and shuttle loomed and hand-dyed with natural indigo. The hand-dyeing process is labour intensive creating contrast with the inherent inconsistencies of the process. Coupled with the slubby textured weave of the denim Pure Blue Japan once again produces a wholly unique and beautiful garment destined to fade with distinction.
The denim is of 13.5 oz weight and the jacket features a sheepskin leather patch, riveted pockets and iron buttons.
The Indigo Houndstooth Denim Jacket is 100% cotton and of 12 oz in weight. The jacket has been rope dyed with two shades of indigo to create a subtle houndstooth pattern. The jacket features a deerskin leather patch, riveted pockets and iron buttons.

The latest ultra heavy Iron Heart flannel is here in turquoise/grey buffalo check. The organic Aspero cotton grown in the wild adds volume and an incredible softness to the fabric. The shirt single brushed on face, and double brushed on reverse. It has been one washed.

Great news for anyone who is ‘particular about their clothes’ – a large arrival of both new pieces and re-stocks of firm favourites from The Flat Head.
2 new shirts, a Wabash work shirt and a western flannel. Made from a 12oz Zimbabwe selvedge fabric, the Wabash shirt is a next level iteration of the style. Deeply indigo dyed it has selvedge gussets and triple stitched felled seams through the sides, arms shoulders and back yoke. Once washed, it is instantly soft and comfortable and is clearly going to age amazingly due to the heavy indigo tones throughout.
The HNW-52w flannel is cut in the classic Flat Head western style and comes with all the quality and attention to detail one has come to expect from these flannels. A soft mustard yellow and black, the fabric has been woven on a vintage loom giving a raised herringbone like texture. Brushed on the inside for extra comfort and warmth, this will take you through the seasons with ease. We have also re-stocked the same western flannel in the traditional red and black buffalo check, and both the 7001 & 7002 denim shirts.

Along with a limited replenishment of the horsehide leather café racer jacket (the most visited page on our webstore for good reason), we have also added the 6008w denim jacket to our collection. Shuttle loomed 14.5oz selvedge denim, Union Special chainstitched seams in many places throughout, it is one washed retaining a great depth of indigo and keeping a tactile, slightly ‘hairy’ character. Western styling – slanted chest pockets and narrow at the waist.
Accessory wise, we are pleased to have more of/introduce: leather wallet rope in Tan or black, Kangaroo leather black and tan platted wallet rope, natural saddle leather bracelet with sterling silver clasp, harness leather card case in black and the mighty Wild Child cowhide and cordovan wallet in both black and tan colourways. In addition there is now a Harris Tweed cap on offer as part of the R.J.B. label, made (of course) with genuine Harris Tweed hand woven in the Outer Hebrides. One size, as it is adjustable with a clasp to the back.
To complement a re-stock of sizes across the range of jeans is a super thick, cowhide leather belt in Tan. Seriously heavy duty, this will be a belt for your lifetime and beyond, and is guaranteed to develop an amazing patina throughout this time.

Now, we have saved the best until last, seriously. Please allow us to introduce to you the Real Japan Blues (sister company to The Flat Head) stadium jacket. It is nigh on impossible to do any justice to this superlative piece of craftsmanship with words or pictures. However it is described or displayed, we can guarantee you it is 100 times better in the flesh. Made with a wool body and lambs leather sleeves, it is an almost confusing combination of utterly soft yet obviously substantial. A wonderful sleek black, with a thick and thin white stripe along the elasticated collar, cuffs and waistband, there is no large obvious branding – merely the R.J.B cross swords and lettering on the left breast – a really nice touch. The stealth black snap buttons used throughout also carry R.J.B lettering but once again this is tonal and discreet. The inside is a padded, diamond quilted black cupro lining with a soft red stitching. There are two inside pockets, one to each side which are trimmed with leather at the opening as are the two outside hand-warmer pockets. Super comfortable, surprisingly warm and sturdy, looking plain and simple full on amazing, if you ever considered a jacket along these lines then this is it. Even if you hadn’t – this is still it.

Mister Freedom presents us with a 100% made in USA jean and denim jacket using Cone Mills denim.
The Cowboy Jacket, inspired by the trucker jacket uses a limited New Old Stock Cone Mills indigo 12.5 oz denim with a white/red selvedge ID on the inner placket
The denim is sanforized and cut into a 60’s style slightly slimmed down fit.The Californian Lot 74 jean uses a Cone Mills 12 oz selvedge denim and comes in a straight tapered fit.
The jeans feature a zip fly, rear pocket partial lining, copper riveting and debossed MF leather patch on the back pocket.The popular Appaloosa is back in a herringbone twill denim. This is a slim fitting western shirt and comes with painted metal DOT snaps. The shirt is unsanforized and will shrink half a size when washed.
