This week has seen a lot of new arrivals in store.
Last year UES Denim released the rope-dyed indigo flannel that was hugely popular. We have restocked them this year but they are already selling fast. This is one item not to sit on.
New for 2016 are the black and burgundy flannels. Like the indigo shirts they are a hefty 14 oz in weight and feature acorn shaped pockets with ivory palm nut buttons. All have a brushed interior for warmth and the burgundy has been additionally brushed on the face. Super cosy.

The Dawson flannel from Indigofera has also arrived. This is a Japanese milled fabric and this year is in a black and beige ombre pattern. The shirt uses snap closures and has 2 angled chest pockets. Collar, cuffs and pocket flaps are lined with corduroy.
Today sees the launch of the first autumn 16 drop from 3sixteen and it is one of our favourite collections to date.
The fatigue overshirts come in hefty Japanese loomed fabrics in a navy herringbone and frogskin camo (with desert camo interior) The shirts can be layered and can serve as a jacket. They feature 2 chest pockets with buttons plus a pen pocket by the left hand pocket and the signature crosscut yoke design on the back.
The Crosscut flannel is back in a very mellow black ombre. The Japanese milled 100% cotton fabric is brushed once on the face and the shirt has 2 angles chest pockets.
3sixteen has teamed up with Chup Socks of Tokyo whose speciality is flat-seamed socks created using a unique hand-linking machine and famed for its colourful designs. This version uses a mixture of colours including natural indigo.

Hi Danny.
As stockists of UES can you do any kinda 'special' orders of items you don't actually stock? The reason I ask is that I was eying up a simple brass split ring they make a while ago, but to have it shipped over made the price ridiculous for what is such a tiddly item.
-
@Streetwise Hercules I might be able to. Can you email me details to danny@rivetandhide.com?
-
Thanks Danny.
I'll have a look at their site and send over some details when I get a chance. There are couple of leather projects I need to get to and their accesory range might have further bits I can use.
I should stress - I'm in no hurry and as this is hardly going to make you rich I don't want you to put any effort into this for me and I'm happy to be told to 'bugger off'. If it's as simple as the UES guys sticking a little bag in with your next order and me giving you money, I'm happy.

Two more ultra heavy flannels from Iron Heart arrived this week. Due to popular demand we have restocked the blue ombre from last year and also received the grey ombre which we're confident will be a big hit too.
Indigofera's Japanese Gunpowder Selvedge denim is popular in whatever iteration and we're sure that the Kyle Sherpa jacket will be a hit in this fabric. This is a cross between a short Ranch jacket and a Trucker jacket.
The garment features two outer chest pockets Type 3 style and is lined with a traditional sherpa lining for warmth in the colder months. Our new collection of Chup Socks have arrived. Chup Socks FW16 have arrived and are as cheerfully full of colour as ever. The stitching on the toe and heel seams are done with a single thread using a hand linking machine. They are super soft and comfortable. Diversity celebrated via hosiery.

@Graeme Good to see you Graeme.

We have received two brand new jeans from Pure Blue Japan, a pocket tee and two beautiful shirts that combine its unrivalled prowess in intricate fabric development and indigo dyeing.
It's only when you look close that you see the Boro patch work design of the Woven Jacquard Patch shirt with the different weaves and textures. It has been indigo dyed - the PBJ way - and is destined to look amazing with plenty of wear.

The ultra soft double gauze indigo-dyed shirt is a two layer woven fabric.
One side is woven using rope dyed indigo yarns, and the other side is a woven stripe pattern using color yarns. The pattern looks like a blanket lining.http://rivetandhide.com/shop/brands/pure-blue-japan/pure-blue-japan-woven-double-gauze-shirt.html
Along with a restock of the indigo dyed round crew neck T shirts we have also introduced a new pocket version featuring a denim pocket on the chest that is riveted with a leather washer and a selvedge id across the top.

Earlier this year we introduced the remarkable 18 oz. selvedge denim from Pure Blue Japan in the slim tapered fit. It is now available in the slim straight XX-18oz-005. This is a dialled up version of the signature 14 oz denim with turbo-charged slubbiness. It has tonnes of texture. You can literally see the indigo clinging to the yarns when you hold this fabric up to the sunlight.

PBJ has introduced a new "vintage denim". The VTG is lighter in colour, similar to raw denim from the 1970s.
The fabric is 14oz in weight, smooth rather than slubby. There is plenty of texture in this neppy weave with different shades of indigo already alive on the surface straight off the loom.We are offering this denim in the XX-003-VTG. This is PBJ's regular/straight fit.

The patch shirt was too much. I don't have enough will power to resist that goodness. Can't wait to see how it looks after some serious wears.

Arrived yesterday. The patch fabric is pretty cool. It looks like it will be a fast fader, but only ta me will tell. My first PJB purchase.
Man are the sleeves slim. Maybe I'll achieve Nizzle level whiskers

Dehen is a family run business who’s in-house production dates back to the 1920s. It started out knitting varsity and college sweaters for student athletes. By the 1930s it was supplying local motorcycle clubs with custom knit riding sweaters. The 1950s saw the first production of its hand-made Varsity jacket. Every knit component of Dehen garments are made in-house on vintage knitting machine. The family stays true to its original pioneering values making garments that are robust, durable and of timeless style.
Our first offering from Dehen 1920 has to include the classic black on black leather and wool varsity jacket. The 24 oz. melton wool body is from Pendleton whilst all the trims are woven in-house. Earlier this year we introduced the Stevenson Overall denim Cody shirt with a distinctive front yoke in the form of a buffalo horn. This season sees the indigo plaid Cody shirt release using a 100% cotton fabric in an indigo plaid and very soft but durable seersucker weave. We have also restocked the original denim version. Again, the diagonally cut cuffs and sleeve placket reveal that exquisite Stevenson attention to detail.

Continuing with the autumn/winter drops we have new pieces from the best of the brands with a more urban slant. Both take their inspiration for quality, style and construction from the past, while keeping an eye clearly on the present – 3sixteen and Rogue Territory.
First up from RGT we have the blanket lined canvas trench. Using a 10 oz. water repellent canvas and incorporating a wool lining with blanket stitch detailing, this ¾ trench sits mid-thigh giving a smart silhouette. The sleeves are satin lined and the jacket features a button vent to the rear and covered front placket. Four pockets – two inside, each containing a smaller concealed pocket – and two outside, welted, with storm flaps that can be tucked inside for a sleeker look. This is a smart, stylish, yet fully functional piece to deal with the wet and the wind.
A straight up classic is RGT's blanket lined Ranger jacket. Made from a 14.5oz Nihon Menpu selvedge denim in indigo the ‘ranger’ style jacket (inspired by the Baracuta G9) is topped off with an exclusive 100% wool lining from the Fairbault woolen Mills in Minnesota. This blanket lining continues into the handwarmer pockets, while the sleeves are lined with black satin. The perfect coming together of the best of Japanese and American fabrics & know how.
From 3sixteen we can introduce the olive hunting shirt flannel. Inspired by heritage details, it keepings such features as the flat rear yoke, large placket covered front pockets and metal buttons throughout. This super soft, mid-weight flannel has been custom woven in Japan with a slimmer, more tailored cut than a standard work shirt.

We also see a welcome return to 3sixteen's shaggy flannels in the slim work shirt silhouette, this time in red/blue & blue/orange colourways. This Japanese flannel is brushed on the outside to create the softest shirt you will own. It comes with double chainstitch run-offs and enamel coated metal buttons designed to chip and wear with use.

Decent headwear is an essential part of any cold weather outfit and 3sixteen has hit the mark with this season's Watch caps. Available in either indigo or a black/indigo combo these caps are 100% heavyweight knitted cotton, constructed in Japan. They have a subtle, pewter concho pin, which is removable should you require a more utilitarian look (or indeed, wish to wear the pin elsewhere).

Following on from the insanely popular ‘work’ version, The Flat Head Blue/Black block check flannel is now available in the western cut which is slightly trimmer through the waist with angled shoulder/back seams, diagonal pockets and mother-of-pearl snap fastening. Shuttle-loomed and brushed on the inside, this heavyweight cotton flannel is a great way to stay warm and comfortable in style.

UES Denim releases its indigo selvedge flannel in a sashiko wabash design in a nod to both Japanese textile heritage and vintage work wear design. The fabric has been rope-dyed indigo. This is a slim fit without being overly so. The flannel features acorn shaped pockets and corozo nut buttons.
