Boots alternative
-
It is sad to say that i'm not the biggest fan of boots (besides it's really hot here where i live..) so anyways, i'm looking for that perfect footwear, that has a little hint of a boot in them. preferably leather. Weather is kinda messed up here, wouldn't want to ruin a good suede. any suggestions?

I've been lusting over Common Projects lately. Have yet to find a good deal or I'd have a pair. Theyre about the same price as custom boots though haha. They're just so comfortable.

What about an 'Oxford' shoe from one of the boot makers? I have a pair of the Red Wing Work Oxfords and offerings from Whites and Viberg look excellent. Or you could go with English style country brogues from Trickers, C&J, Loake etc.

The Whites Hathorn shoes that MegaTron has are amazing. $300ish. Great alternative for summer.

What about a Clarks Desert Trek? I loved them when I was a kid, great shoe/ boot. Or something along the lines of a chukka or Monkey boot? Not too high.
I can recommend the Whites Oxford, superb comfort.

But it's tough to try on a computer screen for size. Not that I've been stopped by that in the past…;)

There's so much sizing advice on various forums and boards that, if you do your research well, it's pretty hard (though not impossible) to size incorrectly.
I say do your research well, because some of the sizing advice can get pretty confusing :-\

Quoddy do a few ankle boots, but they don't come cheap. I like the Tracker Boot, but they're not cheap.
They have sizing info on their site.
