Samurai belts!!! I will never stray my a103's they are superb quality! Nothing close at the price range IMO… But my experience is limited to tanner, buco, and these
-
you could definitely ward off a pack of hungry wolfs with this thing lol
-
Does anyone know if take 5 takes orders internationally? I was specifically looking for the take 5 x samurai s710xx 21 oz. If they are still available. Any help would be appreciated .
-
yes they do! we all got our Denime contest jeans from them 5 years ago.
just write them an email and you should be able to sort the things out -
Awesome, I sent an email earlier this morning. Hope I can pick up a pair of those and put them in the "to-do" pile. The pair posted over on Sufu a few days ago really caught my attention
-
If you do need any help with a Hong Kong proxy or simply ''eyes on the ground'', I'm happy to lend a hand.
-
Thanks guys, got a hold of them and that particular collab is sold out already. But at least now I know in the future if something grabs my eye it is a possibility. The one thing I don't like is that they are relying on FB for their online storefront right now. I don't do FB, the only type of socializing I do is here and Sufu… I have no interest in FB but may have to reopen my account just for this

The past couple of times I've visited Take5, they have been actively working on a new website with online shopping. Thing is, their stock shifts so quickly that items are often sold-out in regular sizes within a week of arriving and don't even make it online.

Anyone have much experience with the 15oz "Texas Cotton" that sam does? Ughmm…BF...ughm
They seem pretty interesting to me. Are they as uncomfortable as they look lol and did you experience alot of leg twist (hate stupid leg twist) -
Why should they be uncomfortable?
Well yeah, the hairiness and slubbiness of the older Lot#s make you feel them on your skin. But the newer Lot#s are smoother and not itchy or so (which the old Lot#s weren't too).It is unsanforized denim so leg twist is to be expected. In general Samurai denim shrinks less than denim from say Warehouse, Evisu, Denime and the like but you will definitley get leg twist on those and IMO more on the 15oz Texas Cotton denim than on the 17oz or 19oz or 21+oz denims.
-
Lol. They just look and sound like they would feel rough and stiff. I dont mind, just curious as to how bad. I dont mind a tiny bit of leg twist, just really find it annoying when the SIDE seam is twisted to the FRONT of ur damn pants.
Im basically looking for a lighter oz. jean that has some interesting denim. The mesurements look to be pretty good on this S0500 as well -
Nah..they won't twist so much, like a pair of Resolute jeans
You will be fine with the leg twist. The 0500 is a great cut and they pair I have at home is one of my favorites -
Any experience with Eternal? Lookin at 888 15th anni version:

The Sammys seem a lil more unique denim wise tho. What u guys think? -
Sammies are my preference…
-
Have u seen or felt the eternals that im talking about. Fit seems good but denim looks a bit boring from the pics. May go with the 15oz texas from samurai. Unless someone chimes in and says the eternals are amazing lol
-
The Eternals are amazing! And the 888 is a limited edition.
You can always get the 0500 laterEternal's 14,5 oz denim is dyed 30 times, holds its indigo very well but will reward you with amazing fades:
(sorry for posting Eternal fades in the Samurai thread)
The 888 and 0500 are also very similar in terms of cutting
-
Dammit dude! I thought i had it figured out lol. K, how about initial appearance? Do the eternals just look like a reg boring denim? Im looking for something with a lil more character (ie- slub, chatter, neppy). Something not so "regular" looking. U know?
-
The Eternal denim is surely no "regular" denim. Nor is it boring at all
It has a similar texture like the Flathead Pioneer denim (300x series). You can look into the Eternal thread on here for more pics (or google Eternal 811 or 888)The old Samurai 15oz denim has definitely more loom chatter and slubs than the Eternal…the newer ones are smoother.
After all the Samurai might be the more textured denim but I prefer the fading abilities of the Eternal denim (only compared to the Texas Cotton denim). -

I have owned a pair of the BiG eternals (pretty sure exact same denim just a longer inseam) and sold due to an error in sizing on my part but agree that the denim is comparable to flathead…it's not boring just different from what my tastes have been recently. Can't go wrong with it by any means, my preference is just the sam
BF's pics make me consider putting a pair back in my collection though. They look really nice
