Samurai Jeans

Right, I am used to wearing either 21, 23, or 25 oz Iron Heart and pretty much everything is disappointing compared to that. I almost bought a pair of 25.6 oz NBDN I saw that looked cool yesterday. But then I realized that I would just rather stick with Iron Heart. I don't know what or how they do it… but the denim is always crazy soft. I'm addicted to Iron Heart denim.

I have some White Cone denim, too, but I just can't get into it. When they closed, I was happy because it might force some American brands to find a new supplier. (I know that's heresy, but oh well.) Everything from IH seems in a different league compared to most brands. Samurai is good, maybe even great and same with PBJ; however, I just don't think either have the same feel of IH denim or duck fabric. The duck is awesome, too. That's not to say anything about the UHFs.

@BD81 , sorry man they have been gone from my possession for years.
-
@BD81 Same for me…I don't like heavy weight denim at all anymore and sold all my heavy jeans.
I think my heaviest jeans weigh around 16oz or 17oz and that's as heavy as I want -
@BD81 I'm in the same boat - 15/16 oz is about my Maximum These days. Also, I only owned the 21 oz Samurais. You can find the most recent updates on them on my instagram @max_power_denim

Well that's kind of dissapointing. Thanks anyways guys I love heavy jeans.. cant wait to try IH. 24oz N&F was my first, Samurai my second, IH will be 3rd. Should have made it 1st by the sound of things im hearing.
-
To be honest the 23oz N&F seemed to be about the same weight as the 25oz Samurais.

@bd81 you come to these things when you come to them. I went in the same order as you. I got rid of my N & F as their denim felt like a gimmick. I still love my SJ denim. It's just IH is better quality. Also, this is all coming from people who love IH so much they talk to strangers (who have become friends, of course :)) about IH products. If SJ had the foresight to do a fourm, you might see the same fevor for them.

I guess the only way to find out is to buy a pair of IH .

I guess the only way to find out is to buy a pair of IH .
after a long hiatus, I've been wearing my Iron Heart 18 ounce IHSH-177 all day. (I hot machine washed it on a 2 hour cycle and then put it in the dyer for an hour gasp), and, I don't think 25 ounce Samurai denim is as heavy as Iron Heart 18 ounces. I am making this comparison because I like heavy denim, and also both denims are very rough and hairy. Both are similar in texture and color.

I have been wearing the shit out of these and they are starting to fade pretty nice. Cant wait to get me some 25oz IH !

These are tagged 34 and they have stretched to 36, Will Iron Heart stretch this much? I know it says one inch in the description. Samurai description said that 34 would stretch back out to raw measurement (34). I really worked at stretching them, i guess what I'm asking is has anyone really tried to stretch I.H ? Like using a knee or foot and pulling as hard as possible on the waist kind of trying or two legs tn the thigh as far as possible then trying to spread them? Not just normal wear stretch. Maybe i should just go a size up lol
