@Anesthetist I have the tripper type II, the one with the white straps and the stripe lining. It's great! Nice size, convenient pockets, pretty sturdy…I really wanted the type III with the green straps and camo lining but by the time I finally decided to get it it was already sold out.
Also, just got the indigo garrison shirt yesterday, new favorite shirt. Best MF release in a while in my opinion. The fit is perfect, really cool pattern and killer fabric. I usually wear medium in MF sportsman shirts, went with a large in the garrison shirt. Measurements on MF site were accurate for pre and post shrinkage.

@deanclean Man overboard!!!!! Help!!!!! (actually I bought the green Garrisons too ). Almost everything I buy is blue and my wife can't tell the difference - but I might have to explain this one.
[url=http://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=10904]@Akuma no uta That sucks - I'm a true XXL and so far (knock wood) I've had good luck with MF. But any time you buy stuff in raw fabrics, something unexpected can be expected some time.
@Anesthetist I don't know what the "tripper" is but I'm pretty sure I don't have it - update: I found it - cool bag. really nice!

Anybody out there have a Tripper? It's high on the want list.
… hell no!
It's a German term for 'Gonorrhoea'

Apparently the new Tripper Type III has an orange lining

Garrison pants arrived. REALLY liking these - fabric and the cut. Note they are higher-than-average waisted, so this may turn some prospective buyers off. The measurements showed a pretty narrow thigh which I was a bit worried about, but I'm not finding it to be an issue at all. Granted this is pre-soak so everything will snug up some. Also shown is the Calvary twill map shirt which I use as a light jacket in the Fall/Spring.

great look @Bluegrass

Thanks @Bluegrass, I've had a few others on other forums tell me the same thing so maybe my eyes are just off.
What size are those? If they're 36 I might be interested in measurements. -
Perfect fits on everything my man!

We have rainbow thread here, it's a great option for bobbin thread hemming…
For example:
@Bluegrass the Garrison Pants look great. Unfortunately although I'm a few inches shorter than you, my legs are disproportionately long, and I'm not sure that the inseam would work for me.
-
@Graeme I sure hear you, having struggled to find nice clothing that fits well my whole life. But it's kind of funny, as I've gotten older, the shorter I find I'm wearing my pants inseam - even with my IH gear with 36-38" inseams, I find myself sporting big cuffs and moving it back to 32-33". I think some of it is the cut of the pants makes it more viable, i.e. higher rise vintage cuts - but it's also the fact that I have all these awesome boots I want to show off…
-
I think that somewhere around a 34.5" inseam is about as short as I can get away with. Any shorter than that, and they'll be flapping around my ankles!
Perhaps buying awesome boots is the solution.
Oh, wait, I've got size 14 (US) feet. Finding footwear that fits is also a problem…
