She may have, and I will never know because as I cant be arsed to look at bank or credit card statements she looks after all our finances (business and personal). Just so that I can buy stuff she should not know about;
fishing tackle, Kayaks and Kayak gear, stuff that I do not need for the kitchen, fishing holidayspresents for her, I have my own personal PayPal account, she refers it as my fishing tackle slush fund.I phoned Josh up to ask him if he would do an episode of the podcast, but the conversation went on for so long, I had to break off and cook…

New member here from Leicestershire…. currently breaking these Wescos to my feet...and hopefully my order of 888s 21oz will arrive tomorrow.
Welcome Phil. Lovely looking English garden in the spring sunshine. Look forward to hearing your take on the 21oz denim and 888 cut.

Hi all, thanks for the add. Relative newbie to higher-end/heavier denim although I've spent an unhealthy amount of time reading the forums over the last couple weeks Just received my first IH piece, a 13-T and I'm loving it.
I'm a fairly athletic guy with big(er, 25") thighs so a lot of the slim fits won't work as well - for that reason I'm looking at the 888's, but I see some of you that love the room in the top block of the 888's also get away with a pair of 555's. Are you just letting the waist go in the 555's? I like a fairly trim fit in my jeans but don't want to be fighting with them every time I go to put my shoes on. Wondering if I could get away with a 34W in the 555's vs a 33 or even 32 in the 888's, would love some advice.
Happy to move this to a product page if that’s a better place, thanks again and greetings from Wisconsin, USA

Welcome @ThunderHawk good to have you here.
The top block of the 555 and 888 are pretty different in most ways. I have had both but as someone with chunky thighs, the 888 are the only ones that fit right, with the sort of comfort you talk about. The exception is the upcoming IH-555-SST. This is a stretch denim. I’ve been wearing the sample and it is much comfier and easy to wear for me.
My advice would be to measure your best fitting pair of tapered jeans using the same methods as used on the videos from the product pages. Then compare your results with the measurement charts. When you’ve done that you can better ask questions on the relevant threads.
Good luck.

Thanks @neph93 will do - super interested in a stretch 555!
-
@ThunderHawk – Welcome dude!
I, too, have larger thighs (25/26"). True waist is a 33" and midrise (for the 634 cut) I need a 34 tagged or a 33 tagged for the XHS version of that cut. If you want to see how that can look, check out my post from WAYWT today. Good luck with your hunt man! I hear that the 888 is great for our kind
-
@henry_david that's exactly the silhouette I'm looking for! Looks great. Just ordered a pair of 888s in a 33 tag today, hoping it's the right call. Thanks for the insight into the 634s, those were also on my list.
-
@ThunderHawk – Thanks man! Yeah, I myself haven't had an opportunity to snap up some 888s (I just love the 634s a bunch), but I aim to do so at some point this year in the 14oz. I'm stoked to hear how it pans out for you and hope to see some photo updates in the WAYWT thread!

Good to have a fellow badger here. I live just north of Milwaukee. What part of the state do you call home ?

Hello all,
New member from the Lincolnshire area, thank you for adding me
I have always appreciated buying better quality clothing (well everything really) for its increased longevity and hopefully better user experience. But now looking to step up into (what I perceive to be) the upper echelons of clothing with some Iron Heart (likely to be shirts first). I first heard about Iron Heart through the Carl Murawski YT channel (he reviews various high end stuff, I'm sure many of you are aware of him) where he spoke very highly of the shirts he had from Iron Heart.
I will be doing some more digging into the exact fit before I make my first purchase, in fact I'm hoping to visit the store when it opens again so hopefully I will actually get to try things the old fashioned way first. I'm by no means built like a Dorito but I always struggle to find shirts that taper in enough below the chest to avoid having loads of unsightly excess material, and when its jeans it usually means I have to buy a much bigger waist just to get my thighs and butt in. Any suggestions on style or cuts that better fit a slimmer broad shouldered guy?
No doubt I'll be cast into the dungeons for admitting this but I recently bought some jeans from Olympvs as they make more allowance for bigger thighs that most. All in all they're decent "jeans" for the money, but the quality is what it is and as they're so stretchy I am not confident they will last anywhere near as long as proper denim.
Sorry I got carried away there ^ happy to be here and looking forward to trying my first pieces soon.

Hi All,
I've been lurking for some time, but only recently jumped into Iron Heart and I can already feel the soon-to-be addiction & downward spiral affecting all better banking judgement.
So far:
IHSH-247-RED
IHSH-276-INDI'm eyeing the IHSH-62 IND or the IHSH-33 as a next purchase, but still undecided as to which will be next.
(a friendly nudge in either direction would be welcome)And not to throw noobie weight around, but has anyone thought of the IHSH-62 w/out the wabash?
Seems a fine material on its own.Anyway, this group seems friendly enough to join, so thanks for having me onboard.

Hi All,
Welcome. Good to have you here.
Both the IHSH-33-IND and IHSH-62-IND are classic IH shirts. Very different though. The 33 is a denim western perfected, it will get soft and worn quick. The 62 is a lot tougher ans smarter.
As for a Wabash without Wabash, the 62 fabric is a straightforward serge. The olive and black IHSH-235’s are essentially what you are talking about. No indigo version yet, but never say never.

Thanks, neph.
And excellent review of the Shinayaka denim.
Really enjoyed reading it (both versions) -
Welcome to the forum Paul! I hope you enjoy you time here. Please enjoy your newfound addiction

Hello all! I’ve been lurking for some months, finally getting around to joining. Well, let’s see, otr trucker, high end tobacco pipe collector, cigar lover, Iron Heart Obsessed! Have a bunch of westerN shirts, 2 corduroy jackets, no jeans yet though. Fat waist skinny legs so I’m still researching what would be the best fit. The Indigo Kersey shirt is the best shirt I’ve ever owned. Xxxxl is my fit. It’s unfortunate that size is in such small numbers. Maybe I should be quicker to buy though. Currently searching for that Ombré shirt in Indigo. No 4xl’s anywhere. Anyways, it will take some time to figure out how to post pics and such, but I look forward to future interactions.

Sounds like a job for the 555 cut.
