Introduce Yourself Here

Hello IH Forum,
My name is Michael T and I am clearly a superfan of IH. Living in South Jersey in the US - I've lurked on this forum for the past 5-6 years, debating on posting a number of times, and ultimately just hanging in the shadows, stealing your knowledge and participating in the enjoyment of wearing IH. My IH inventory has ballooned during this time, most recently picking up the black 21 oz serge windbreaker (IHJ-142) - which is incredible btw. Watching the SS25 preview this week has (or hasn't) helped to keep me plugged into the great things on the horizon with this incredible brand.
As I've aged over the past 6 years - from my mid 40s to approaching 52 in a few weeks, I've naturally (or unnaturally) added some girth - which in addition to going through the process of dialing in the sizing of the brand from piece to piece (aka going from 555 to 777 to 888 and also going from XL - which was clearly a mistake - to XXXL in most shirts) - has led to accumulating a number of items that I am no longer able to wear (along with many others that I do wear quite often). Thus I will eventually get around to listing some really nice pieces that need a new home.
Rather than posting my expansive inventory here for everyone to digest, let's just say that I went through my IHUK account and realized that this last purchase was #50 since I first started this journey in Oct of 2019 - this doesn't count transactions that resulted in a cancellation or IH purchases from a retailer (as I have a few of those as well). But for the most part I've tried to stay loyal to the IHUK crew, amassing a number of shirts, flannels, T-shirts, jeans, shorts, socks, jackets, beanie, belt, and other incredible pieces that I proudly wear as often as possible.
This forum has been integral in my journey of repping the IH brand, and despite most folks around me having no idea of the quality of garments I am wearing every day, I remain incredibly dedicated to IH, and will continue to build my inventory as long as my wallet (and wife) will allow.
I appreciate everyone's openness and contributions to this forum, and I hope I'll one day be comfortable enough to share some of my experiences as well. Until next time - have a great weekend everyone!
My Best,
MT

I'm Eric. I live in San Francisco and own absolutely no Iron Heart gear.
I'm hoping to acquire my first piece when the Spring/Summer collection "drops" (I think that's how you guys say it around here, just trying to fit in
).
I'm using the waiting time to try and decide between the Western and Work Shirt styles.

Welcome @yubity65 and @Engineer-Goby !

@Engineer-Goby welcome to the forum. Self Edge has a shop in San Francisco and carry Iron Heart. You could swing by and familiarize yourself with the work and western cuts, just to get a rough idea of the differences in fit

I've already been there more times than I'd care to mention. They've got a lot of nice stuff, but the Iron Heart flannels are all but sold out in my size (probably XL).
I tried on a denim shirt in XL just to get an idea, and it fit pretty well. It was a nice shirt, but Im more looking for a flannel right now. Hopefully when the Spring collection comes in I can try on both styles and buy something off the rack. I'm on their email list so will hopefully be able to get there as soon as the new stuff arrives.Nice to meet you.

Nice to meet you @Luijim78 and @Twistlock

@Engineer-Goby trying on in person is ideal if you have the option.
The most important factor when purchasing is to look at the measurements rather than the tag size. Once an article is in-house the guys at IHUK will post the measurements online. Take a shirt that fits and measure it the Iron Heart way as described here. Then check against the listed dimensions.

Thanks. I will have to record my measurements so I'm ready to go when the time comes.
Here's another Urquell for your help:Any ideas when the Spring stuff usually comes around?
