IH-555S-21 - 21oz Selvedge Denim Super Slim Jeans - Indigo PREVIOUSLY IH-555-01
-
I'm a 34 in 710 and a 34 in the 555-01. Completely different fits obviously. The 510 grips the knee, while the 710 doesn't. I could probably size up in the 555, but the waist might be loose.
Thank you! It sounds like I should order sz 32 then. Was thinking about go for sz31 but I maybe need to rethink that.

It's definitely worth considering. I consider the 710 the perfect fit for me. I'm 6'3" 200 lbs with long legs.

Can I expect some stretch in the thigh? They gonna feel pretty tight in the thigh. But I want a really slim model.

Relishing my first hours in the size 30 555-01s obtained from @Miiks. Intense denim feel due to the extremely snug fit on the thighs. Like it a lot, and now I'll see what the famous stretch will be like, these have been soaked once and washed twice before by the previous owner.

Looks about right for the 21oz. it's not you, it's the denim.

Yeah, it's a real b*tch to fade!
But I love the 21oz more than any other denim I've tried. -
Need some help.
Rivet and Hide's sizing says the sz. 31 leg opening is 7.1 but here it says its 7.3. Both measure the same way so im a little confused. Also, im a true 32. My Pure Blue Japans that fit me perfectly are measured exactly at 32.
Should I get the sz. 30 or 31? Since the sz 30 = 30.5 and people say they stretch out an inch I feel like that still wouldnt be enough. But the sz. 30 knee size is perfect for me ::)
Im thinking about playing it safe and just getting the 31 but I feel like the top part of the denim would be baggier than what I would like. Any recommendations?

The 21oz can easily stretch the 1.5" you need in the waist. If all other dimensions are ideal on the 30, I think that's what you should go with.
Also, the discrepancy between IHUK & R&H's measurements is so minute (.2 inches), that it's most likely just the difference between the sample lot that was measured. Retailers don't measure every single pair of jeans they have in stock, and then take an average of their measurements– that would be incredibly time consuming. They typically take the average of several pairs, and .2" is a common/entirely acceptable margin of error. Additionally, slight differences in measurements between the dimensions of each pair (even from pairs in the same run) is standard with every brand.
If you have a specific dimension that you are particular about (I understand this; thighs are a problem for me), then just email IHUK or R&H and ask for a pair with your preferred measurement. I guarantee they will be happy to get you exactly what you like, so don't be shy.
Great choice with the 21oz, BTW. My 1955s are my favorite pair in the rotation.
