IHW-01 (Melton Wool shirt)
-
I don't want to speculate too much, but I imagine there'll be a restock in these before the season's over.
-
i just realized it is sold out….
damn,i can`t believe i missed this one.
giles,is there any chance of getting one in size large??In Blue yes, black no.

I can't restock what does not exist. The ONLY way I will get any more is if I can force a run into an already maxed out factory - and I seriously do not know if that is possible…..G

I'd be curious to know more about the annual "industrial" capacity of the factory(ies) used to manufacture IH products:
pants: 634S, 634SR, other models
shirts
jacketssame question with TW
What are the most constraining factors:
lack of fabric deemed adequate for the IH high quality standards
lack of human resources to churn out productsHow are those constraints addressed?
can looms be found and started or do those not exist any more and the modern ones are inadequate?
and how much does equipment cost to buy and operate
and how long does it take to train somebody to manufacture IH garment, are there shortages of qualified people and are other brands competing for skilled labor, etc…questions questions
sorry to bug you Giles but those are very interesting (at least to me) -

Id be seriously interested in those information
then write some business plan, with beautuful looking 5 year projections, raise a gadzillion dollars and expand, expand expand! -
I woke up this morning and the first thing I thought about was this shirt, and I got this idea:
cut and saw the bottom of the shirt so it looks like a jacket, not a shirt and you got the ultimate jacket.
What do you powers that be think of this?
Not a fan of this. I love the "Short quality of this piece and fitted nature. And isn't the IHW-02 almost here? There is enough Melton Wool going on at the moment. Just my opinion…
-
Got mine today. If a tank were a shirt, this would be it. Glad I went with a large for layering…
What is your normal IH shirt size?
-
Another idea for this outstanding piece of art: quilt line it so it can be used as a rider's jacket in the winter. By winter, I mean wimpy winter in Paris, not winter in Chicago!
-
I think for riding you would want a zip. You could consider the IHW-02 (not quilt lined) in the wool version:

But Kiya is doing a quilt lined version with ultra heavy cotton flannel outer:

Thanks Giles, I had seen those, but I prefer the plain blue or black color of the 01! That's why I was making this suggestion.
