Random Love (anti-rants)

I wanted to give a huge thank you to @Jett129 and his son for their random act of kindness. Some of you may have read some of my posts commenting on my son's full-blown obsession with Pokemon cards. He collects and trades them but i've also been taking him to Pokemon tournaments so that he can learn to actually play the game. As you can imagine, buying Pokemon cards gets expensive so I had to tell my son that he either learns to play the game or I stop buying them for him lol
Anyway, Jett reached out to me and said his son had a bunch that he was willing to give away. Sure enough, he sent me about 700 of these Pokemon cards which I in turn gave to my son last night. @Jett129 , my boy was blown away and couldn't contain his excitement. He doesn't understand the concept of internet communities so I told him a friend and his son gave these to me to give to him. This is one of the reasons why I love the IH forum so much. Its members are awesome and its a cool community to be a part of.

When random people criticize this place for being too nice, they can fuck right off. I'm humbled and proud to be part of this community.
Who says that?! I will track that m*%therf*#€r down and have a nice cup of tea and cosy discussion with them….
Great post @gaseousclay lovely gesture @Jett129

Put a great big smile on my face. I’m getting way more credit than I deserve. Glad to have found them a good home.
Nah, you deserve all the credit The cards you sent were the icing on the cake. I bought my son Pokemon cards for xmas, so the ones you sent were the motherload. He wanted to spend the evening sorting all of them but I said that would have to wait til the weekend

If people being nice to you generally makes you uncomfortable, I feel sorry for you and want to ask who hurt you.
It's one of the things that makes this little nook of the internet great. I think for the most part people here treat one another the way that they would if they were standing face to face, instead of being pointlessly rude safely behind a keyboard. If your instinct, when sheltered from the consequences of how you engage with people, is to abuse them, then you are a bad person and I don't want anything to do with you.

nephy I would also like to join that motherfucking discussion if I can have a nice Earl Grey and some honey.
You’re welcome! But I’m warning you now it won’t be for the faint hearted. There will be some warm, supportive discussion, positive feedback and comfy cushions. That’ll teach the bæstards.
