nice fit!
Are they rope dyed or hank dyed?He is not often in this forum but i try to answer for him. It is this denim:
http://global.rakuten.com/en/store/2nd/item/sj-s5000ai24oz/
He bought it from DC4. I guess it isn't rope dyed although i couldn't find out how it's done technicaly. All I find is this:
"Dyeing: A dyeing method of 職人技 repeating that I let the original goods dyed deep blue can touch an increase, air when you soak gyve (you lend) which bundled up a thread in an indigo dye vat and attach a natural indigo plant to a thread and oxidize 20 several times. THE GYVE IRREGULARITY (IRREGULARITY OF THE OXIDATION) CHARACTERIZING THE GYVE DYEING IS A FLAVOUR PECULIAR TO INDIGO DYEING NOT TO BE POSSIBLE TO INDIGO DENIM BY THE ROPE DYEING.
*The dyeing irregularity, please enjoy the taste as personality of natural goods dyed deep blue."But you should know it better!;)

yeah, I "should"
Usually AI denim is hank dyed but sometimes you will find rope dyed ones, which will fade like other rope dyed denim. My question was more in that direction: for a denim fading contest, why you would take a hank dyed denim. it wouldn't be my choice -
But it looks different than your 24 oz denim right?

HC-IH-32 with a brief check-in.
Sweated like mad yesterday on an asphalt roof cleaning and moss treating. The MBBs were good because they gripped the shingles and I didn't slide off to my death, but bad in that on an 80 degree day, on a 90 degree roof, they felt like 110 degrees.
I believe, though, that I can call "Numero Uno" on putting a hole in my MBBs. Legitimate, didn't mean it, hole.

One month fit update. HC-IH-26
Love these, they are so comfortable. Still having trouble nailing down what to do with the cuffs, but I'm gonna let things settle for a few more months and figure it out then
I'm lucky enough to be able to wear these to work but besides that it's been a slightly interesting month. Within the first 24 hrs of wearing them, I had a giant glass of red wine dumped on me which prompted a second soak in as many days. Spent a week sitting on a plastic cooler getting tossed around a Great Lake fishing, and just generally chasing the kids around. Pretty happy how things are coming along. This denim is something special.
aaand on a side note, my denim vault t randomly showed up about a week or so ago. Thought it was gone forever!

Shoot yourself in the ass?
Not quite. Like all my other jeans, my MBB's have finally gotten the one mark consistent to all of them: a hole where the lower snap of my Tanner Goods workman wallet is located.
Now they're mine for sure.

Mahlon, great fit and I love the Tender style cuffs. I've also gone back and forth about cuffing v stacking and it is a seemingly tough decision.

Thanks Anesthetist! This incarnation of cuff is growing on me. I went with the full length inseam knowing I wear a cuff for everything, I underestimated how much extra material there would be left to cuff. I refuse to stack them, only because it drives me crazy!! Envious of those who can pull it off. I think I may send them for a hem after a year or so, once they have sorted themselves out, and hopefully end up with one good sized cuff. first world problems eh?
Killer boots btw! -
Snippet from the pictures thread: a nice day in the sun with the MBB's.
