I also think that 2" would be too wide for most jeans, but I was asked if it could be an option. Also in total agreement that 1.5" is the way to go with a belt.
@RP:
I have no idea what a Chicago screw is.
I'm sure that some of the Chicago Forum members could arrange for this to be performed on you…
And this is the boring version…
-
I've never used Locktite; Jack's right- nail polish works perfectly. We married guys have access to wheelbarrows of that stuff…
-
Yep, if you're brave enough to wear 25oz denim, you can be brave enough to walk into a pharmacy and buy nail polish remover
-
Nice updates on the belts.
+1 on the 1.75
-
A few more images for you of the man himself in belt making action ….
-
An oxblood (maroon) color option would be cool.
-
Agreed. The Oxblood looks really nice.
-
I'd be into a 1 3/4" as well. Would these just ship out with the MBB, and would we be paypaling mega when it is time to order?
-
That is pretty leather. It makes me happy to think how that shop smells.
-
I doubt these will ship with the MBB's but its a possibility I guess. Payment for the belts will probably have to come through me, as I have to pay Crispin.
-
Awaiting leather samples (as previously mentioned).

Don't Chicago screws have a tendency to come undone? It could just be my experience. Also, I've always been too lazy to buy some Loctite.
I have Chicago screws on my 3 LGC belts and I've never had an issue. Snaps are okay too, but Chicago screws are less bulky.
Also, 1.75" works fine on my IHB-01, SEXIHXLSXA13's, and Samurai S710xx. It's a bit of a tight squeeze, but nothing major. The LGC bridle leather belts aren't quite as thick as the Samurai belts, but I think they're similar to the proposed contest belt, so 1.75" should work for most jeans IMHO.
