Pure Blue Japan (PBJ)

@tody, my experience is similar to @Cskarev - I have a few PBJ tees in 4/L and I take L or XL in Merz depending on the cut. If it's the black indigo one you're looking at, I think you'll be very happy with it. I picked one up recently and the colour presents as a really intense black initially. I've not washed mine yet, but I'm looking forward to seeing how the indigo expresses itself over time.

I'll add to the sentiments that PBJ jeans are well worth the money. Especially their slubby jeans, they really love to create texture and IMHO are the best in the game at the slubby stuff. I don't have any of their regular fabric jeans so I can't speak to that but I have this pair and absolutely love them. I was really happy when got my IH555 jeans because the fit is really close to this pair of PBJ... Right now I'm in a 3 jean rotation of an 17oz pair of IH 888, 21oz pair of 555s and these.

Completely agree with you @edgarallanpoe about the slub, here'smy PBJ type 3 jacket in Indigo and sumi ink, what a beauty... really expensive jacket but whoaa...

As luck would have it, I'm wearing these jeans today...hopefully you can see the texture on the material. It really is something special and they are about as comfortable a jean as I own.

Here’s what happened to my PBJ Indigo tee over the past few years
Love it so much I just had to pay Statement a visit and grab the Long Sleeve version.
Still going strong. Just a minor hole in the arm pit but held its shape amazingly well.
Curious to see how yours are going @Cskarev @tody @Dmart @ARNC

I just wear the hell out of it. And I have a feeling that sun exposure plays a big role. It’s one of my go to summer tees because of the lower weight.
You have the OD version too? Got that a few weeks back and looking forward to see how it evolves
-
@weftyarn I will try to take some photos soon
-
@tody dc4 in Berlin has XL and XXL left mate
-
@weftyarn Looks banger, need to wear my tee and longsleeve more often
-
@Fades-for-future dark indigo yes, but i'm looking for the black overdyed indigo.
-
@tody ah right Mate same here, still waiting on a restock...
-
@weftyarn I’ve got ss and ls versions of the regular indigo and black indigo and ss only in pale indigo - picked up gradually but I keep coming back to these as the dimensions work really well for me.
I find the black indigo quite stubborn but I guess yours will fade if you just look at it for a while

@Mizmazzle if this is a general question, I have found the sizing to be pretty stable with cold machine washing and air drying. There’s always the potential for a bit of reshaping while damp if you’re concerned about a particular measurement.
