SOCKS
-
I'm a little disappointed in my socks. My sunny sports, while looking amazing, have essentially all started falling apart near the heel… I think I'm going to have to be on the lookout for less fashion-forward socks and more robust ones. I'm was just looking into Maggie's, you guys approve?
Also, maybe tmi, but I also have problems with my feet getting unnecessarily sweaty.... Suggestions???

I heartily recommend cotton socks if your feet sweat. I've said it many times here, but if you need socks that aren't exposed (like boot socks) the plain white Red Wing socks are exemplary. Cotton with plenty of elastic.
If the dogs are too sweaty for cotton, perhaps a synthetic such as coolmax is your next move. By all means avoid merino, even Smartwool (and I say this as a person who thinks Smartwool makes the best socks on the market), if your feet are excessively sweaty.

Maybe g is right. Thing is I only notice my feet sweat after I've been walking around for a while (but not super long by any means…) in general when I'm at home my feet aren't sweaty at all. I pretty much only wear sneakers, but I would think that those would be better for sweat than say boots...

^ Truth, I wore nothing but sneakers up to about 4 years ago and I suffered from EXTREMELY sweaty feet, since dipping my pods into Whites the problem has totally gone.
-
Backed; I've never had especially sweaty feet but wearing wool and sneakers I can get there. Boots not so much.

Forgot to post these, got them a couple months ago. Pricey but beautiful, I think they have a few on sale atm though. Nice packaging too.

Dayum. Love the Navajo but £25 seems a bit much for a pair of socks

As I said before, price be damned, nothing is too much to achieve perfection

Blue dockers socks…super comfy...inexpensive, and they match in color to blue denim
Fucking drives me nuts when peoples socks don't match with their pants
This is a sartorial rule that I've never heard. I don't like matching socks to pants, without that contrast it looks goofy to me. Socks should coordinate with pants, but IMO shouldn't match.

She and I have been through enough together that I think we keep a pretty decent perspective on what's important. Even as tight as our budget can be (gets pretty tight with only one of us pulling a regular check) nothing is completely out of reach if the investment is worth it. We just plan really well and stick to it, almost no such thing as a impulse buy around here. It can be hard, but such patience ensures that there's no regret to our purchases either. We try to balance everything else in a similar manner and it really pays in spades when it comes to just being satisfied no matter the conditions. Love can be good for that when people aren't selfish.

IMO, the sock should compliment your top/shirt. It allows the break up of the color palette, without looking like your trying too hard
