Amazing @Daniel San pictures do look familiar
-
Lofgrens Donkey Puncher in natural! Fit like a glove! Like them
-
@Dmart fantastic! Awesome boots, JL is just as addicting as IH
-
Thanks @Heavy_blue They are now due for some conditioning as the leathers dries out a bit. Will have to see the cobbler as well. The stitches on the last start opening from the abuse on the motorcycle.

Hello there all! Question tuesday.. i have a little heel slip on my left foot,
Wich is strange cause that foot is running a little larger.. i wear a 9,5 and in my opinion a size 9 would be to small. In the end i have a little heel slip like i said. Any suggestions to avoid that or to make it go away -
Heavy_blue not sure how to get rid of that. You could try some insoles?
-
Heel slip is not unexpected in an engineer. Sometimes it will improve as the leather conforms to your foot, or you may get used to it.
-
@Heavy_blue I put some thin Red wing inserts I had into my JLs. They fit really well now. Almost no heel slip at all now.
-
@Mizmazzle great! Can you please show me wich ones you have:)
-
Hey @Heavy_blue these are the ones I used. I used them in a couple pairs of my Red Wings and had them around. So decided to slip em in my JLs and they work great for me! They are pretty low profile so helped take up some of the volume in my boots.

Heavy_blue I’ve just ordered some footbeds from a company called “sole” they look like they could help with the heel slip because they have a bit of a pocket in the heel of the bed. Also they have a bunch of different thickness. Take a look

boom 🥳🧨
could not resist, next pair of engineers. Shinki Hikaku leather , black horse butt
very beautiful and unique grain/ texture, almost looks like reptile leather
it’s pretty thick leather and definitely needs a break in , different to the badalassi that are super soft out of the box. -
@Dmart
the are Danielhere you can see the difference in thickness, the shinki is hardcore
-
First day of wearing my new pair engineers in shinki hikaku leather.
what a difference to the CLX or the badalassi leather.
these are really badass, and sure need a real break in -
@Daniel San once they break in, they will fit like a glove. I’ve worn these a lot this winter and they look great. They seem to “age” slowly. I get so many compliments on them.
-
@Wlemon
looking great ! the shinki is such an amazing leather , love it.
what do you use for care ? -
Nothing yet, @Daniel San I use Bick 4 on my other boots. Probably will do the same.
