Heavy_blue I’ve just ordered some footbeds from a company called “sole” they look like they could help with the heel slip because they have a bit of a pocket in the heel of the bed. Also they have a bunch of different thickness. Take a look

boom 🥳🧨
could not resist, next pair of engineers. Shinki Hikaku leather , black horse butt
very beautiful and unique grain/ texture, almost looks like reptile leather
it’s pretty thick leather and definitely needs a break in , different to the badalassi that are super soft out of the box. -
@Dmart
the are Danielhere you can see the difference in thickness, the shinki is hardcore

First day of wearing my new pair engineers in shinki hikaku leather.
what a difference to the CLX or the badalassi leather.
these are really badass, and sure need a real break in -
@Daniel San once they break in, they will fit like a glove. I’ve worn these a lot this winter and they look great. They seem to “age” slowly. I get so many compliments on them.

@Wlemon
looking great ! the shinki is such an amazing leather , love it.
what do you use for care ? -
Nothing yet, @Daniel San I use Bick 4 on my other boots. Probably will do the same.
-
you should try the Saphir care for cordovan/ horse leather.
It´s really good from my experience -
Will get some.
-
Love this combo!
-
works with 777XHS too , but definitely looking better with the 461S bootcut imo
-
Shining like new

@Mizmazzle thanks man! Love them

Girlfriend surprised me with these recently. Got 1 day in on them. Still working through the pass through issues in the shaft. Once I got them on they feel perfect inside no tightness etc... I've just got to work through the on and off stages of these bad boys. I am doing the plastic bag trick and thinner socks, with a boot horn, cant wait for the day they just slip right on.
How is everyone else getting their boots on? Recommendations are welcomed !
