Yeah, that's nuts the way they stitched that vamp, though it would never be visible for me, under my jeans. Love the quadruple stitching too. Really nice boots, my favorite of the bulbous toe variety by far.

Hollywood Trading Company makes those. Wasn't there an historical Santa Rosa boot maker though?
Yep the old Santa Rosas utilized some type of "3m" ish reflective materia, at least the ones ive seen, but not to be confused with the night riders which are also amazing

Wesco Cycle Boss - very cool - with low heel even. special edition with horsehide upper.
-
was a bit of searching and emails trying to track them down but Zip was supper cool and took time out to talk to me on the phone and go over what i was looking for in terms of color scheme. I was blown away to just talk to someone I respected
@ bluegrass once i spec'ed the boss' how i wanted them they were around $700 not including tax, shipping etc. then you add on top of that vintage details that come on the Road Champs, Santa Rosa's and Ace Boots the price difference is not that great. I heard Self Edge is going to carry ace boots and the engineer is right around $750, no taxes in Oregon and if they do free shipping on shoe orders then this is a great deal for those boots. -
I am thinking hard about custom Wesco patrol toes in black fire or black pebble,
I don't think the pebble grain would look good in that style. The black fire is supposed to age really well, though.
-
Thx guys - I agree the high-end vintage boots are special - if I could get my hands on some in my size I might jump in - will be watching the Self Edge situation carefully. And Chris, agree if I go w/ wesco, the black pebble is too trendy - the black fire is a no-brainer, and only ~$30 upcharge I think. You can def. run the price up fast on the Boss.

Don't I know it. I've built a ton of em on their site. Love Wesco. That build tat got from those minnesota boys on ebay is sick too.
-
Yeah. Tat didn't love the buckles but they look sweet to me. Haven't seen in person though.
-
I was gonna, but Lofgren sucked me in. They aren't really a brick and mortar, it's a barber and some other dude who sell wet shaving shit and boots. Nice nice dudes.
Have I mentioned I love these fucking boots?

The musk haven guys are super nice and great to work with. I would definetly buy that boot again if I had to redo it. It is built like a tank, perfect fit and attention to detail. The buckles are very heavy duty but unfortunately they are pretty much a harness buckle with a roller added, at least looks like it IMO. I just like the traditional heavy duty roller buckles but certainly wouldn't let it dictate my purchase as they are easily changed… And honestly I'm in no rush to change them but will do when they are resoled.
And I promise I will put pictures up.. I know I have said it and I will... I'm just a procrastinator.

Anyone have tiny feet or a lady who'd rock engineers?
