@Mizmazzle awesome lineup

@Mizmazzle WTF
You wear the same size in the Lofgren and Wescos? -
@Memphisakers are you implying I have some sort of addictive personality!!?
my wescos are custom sized so not sure of the sizing. My Lofgrens are 9s
-
@Mizmazzle I would NEVER suggest such a thing
I’ve seen a few pair of wescos online I like… curious about your sizing experience. Seems everyone has a different opinion about fit on lofgren vs Wesco and I can’t find any in person to try on -
@Memphisakers im a 9.5D brannock. 9 in my lofgrens. 8.5 in my vibergs. 9 in my Red wings. Guess that doesn’t clarify anything for the wescos haha.

Just grabbed these Alden boots for $38.81 at a 2nd hand store in SF this weekend. Like barley worm, must’ve been my lucky day. Beyond stoked on these. -
My Lofgren’s all ran a tad on the large side, definitely bigger then my Wesco’s.

Forgot to add pics with them on, I think they are the
Alden 44626H Brown Chromexcel Wing Tip
Boot(2015) had little help with a Reddit thread. Can’t believe how comfortable these are, great they look and could see quality boots easily becoming a slight addiction like iron heart lol. Was eying some red wings last few months, but was dreading break in process. I’ve had timberland, Clark’s and pair of Dr martens before. Those Dr martens bought (5 yrs ago) got to small, 12 was too big, since no 11.5, grabbed the 11s, hoping break them in. But after few months of wear still killed my feet, so they just been in my closet since then. Will be ordering everything to properly take care of these and hoping will last years to come -

@meatmarketdenim1 the great thing about the higher end boots is the break-in tends to be minimal in my experience. Red Wings are great, but the break in can be rough sometimes. (Though my moc toes were really easy)
My Vibergs, Wescos (custom to my foot) and Lofgrens has basically zero break in from a comfort stand point.
Every foot is different of course, but that’s been my experience. -
@Daniel-San did you get an answer about role club sizing? Open to correction but I’m pretty sure that the role club sizes listed for the ready to wear boots are the measurement of the outsole in centimetres, so for example, role club size 29 means that the measurement from tip of the front to the end of the sole is 29cm… it should be about 1 or 1.5cm bigger than the measurement of your own foot…. I think
-
@VoodooRay
yes , Brian send me instructions how to measure my feet. He will find the right size then. -
@Daniel-San The best way to get the size right.. I got the brown ready to wear engineers, Brian had my measurements on file from when I got my underdogs so just sent the right size..
Here’s a pic of my two role clubs, the underdogs took 2 years to get made up but I understand that the wait for made to order is back down to 2 or 3 months. Brian’s a great guy to deal with I have to say.

Current engineer boot collection.. 2 x Clinch, 1 x Role Club
-
@VoodooRay
guess I quit the role club and wait for the brown Clinch engineers . They are my favorites by far ! -
@Daniel-San you owe it to yourself to get both. Also, the design and colour of brown is so different that it’s justifiable to own both… despite what my wife definitely thinks.

@VoodooRay congratulations on the wonderful collection
