i just bought these on sale at rl because i thought they were a bargain at the price. however i don't really like the studs so i think i will sell them. i have a couple of questions you guys may be able to help with. are these made by julian imrie or not? are they horsehide or not? am i right about the studs? and whats a fair price to ask for them?
thanks in advance.

baracuta: pretty sure they are Julians. They are aniline steerhide as far as I remember, very nice thick leather. These retailed at close to a $1000 in the states so I would imagine you being able to fetch a good price as they don't come up for auction very often. Love the studs on the boots, it is a rare find on an engineer these days. If they were my size I would jump at them.

thanks for the info guys. they were selling these for £119 in the rl shop i probably should have bought a few more pairs!

Wow is that a score. The studs won't be seen as much considering u will have ur jeans over them. I'd give them some more thought

when i showed my girlfriend the boots she laughed and asked if i'd joined a village people tribute band so they've gotta go!

You would be crazy to sell them, but if you really must, try selling them on japanese ebay. They are in "My 211", the Free & Easy magazine editor Minoru Onozato's display of his wardrobe (and car etc.) which should lead to fierce demand, especially in this rather small size.

giles they had about 8 more pairs of these in various sizes in bicester on tuesday night so there may be some left. they also had some pairs of a chelsea/riding boot style whichi think were £249. good luck
