IHTL-1301 - Waffle Knit Long Sleeved Crew Neck Thermal Top - BLK, GRY or WHT

@Alex have the new colorways arrived yet?

Really like the two new colors. My understanding is that this material has a lot of stretch to it.
Large has a 20.2 inch P2P measurement while XL has 22.0.
Any suggestions on sizing coming from someone with a 42 inch chest and falling squarely in the middle? Size down and expect enough stretching or size up and a looser fit?

Yep, I concur with Neph. Size down.

Hi all, looking at both the 1301 and 1700. Can anyone shed light on the difference? I’m going to have to assume that the 1700 is heavier weight with not much other difference other than perhaps fit. Do I have this right?
Heavier knit, different weave, tighter fabric, much less stretch, different cut.
The 1301 works as a base layer, under shirts, jackets and vests or on its own. The 1700 can be used as such, but works best as a sweater.

Any opinions as to whether this or the 1213 Henley are more well rounded article of clothing?
I got a chance to see the 1213 in person and loved the fabric. Debating which lane to pick.

I prefer the crew neck to the henley. Something about the way the neck of the henley falls—almost like it goes up towards your chin a little when buttoned. It’s always looked weird to me. I sold my henley on.
Everyone will have their own opinions, of course.

I think that is very dependent on how you dress and personal taste. They have the same essential functionality. The IHTL-1213 just gives you the extra option of doing up or undoing the buttons.
I have a few of both and reach for them all the time. Which one I choose depends very much on how I’m feeling and what else I’m wearing that day.

Looking for some advice on sizing for this piece from those who have purchased. I typically wear an xs in the 12oz IHSH denims and a small in the UHFs - thus a chest around 20”, a shoulder around 16”, and a length around 28”. That would put me in a large for these if I go by the measurements and assuming there is not much stretch. I’m thinking there will be stretch and maybe I should go with a medium, but then length looks to be possibly too short to tuck in unless there is stretch in the vertical direction too. I’m planning to wear under denim & UHF shirts during coldest days, so wanting form fit but not overly tight and to be able to tuck in. Some advice appreciated - thanks!

Thanks @neph93 - appreciate the advice. Based on your experience, my best option is to go with a small since an xs isn’t available and see how it works out in terms of stretch - but definitely don’t want to size up based on the posted dimensions. I’m hoping the length also stretches or it will be too short to tuck in.
Any feedback from anyone who wears a small UHF in going with a size small in these?

I personally prefer to size up in these for length, and so my belly doesn’t look squeezed into it when it stretches. The stretch you get will be mostly horizontal. Unless you force it the length won’t ever stretch much. I am a M or L in UHF, and prefer L or XL in IH thermals.
