nope, german kraut
Glad you appreciated the post @illo59. That was my first IH shirt (I now own far too many…) and everything I've bought subsequently has been XL with the exception of quilted shackets. In the main everything has fitted great, the exception being a western UHF that fits snugly now but will not tolerate a decent wash.
I still wear my 85 all the time. It's loose enough to wear open over a tee and a vest, fits nicely over a henley or sweater and works nicely over just a tee for a relaxed look.
Just remember, if you want, you only need wash it on 30C without tumble and it won't shrink at all. 60C with tumble dry will shrink it nicely, so you're in control. I look forward to fit pics!

hey @neph93 - glad i found a forum like this, great community and it's cool to read about sizing, fitting and how the stuff will act with constant wear. just discovered IH for me and i think my closet will get some nice upgrades within the next year
i'll post fit pics as soon as black beauty arrives - and yes! the plan is to only give it gentle washes. i never tumble dry anything, i'm to scared it will ruin my gear. too unpredictable for me…

Johnny Cash in the house! Fits pretty nice everywhere but could be a little bit shorter… will only wash it gently and at low temperature to avoid much shrinkage but hope it will get a little bit shorter and/or the hem rolling up with wear.
This shirt is a beauty, wore it today and decided to love this thing!

Looking like you're all good there. You'll lose some length to curling on your first wash, regardless of the temp.
That being said, it looks like your sleeve length will tolerate some shrinkage, and given that the chest and shoulders will shrink proportionally less than the length, I would consider a 60C wash to make the most of the shrinkage.

Thanks for the kind words and the input guys! Just washed it at 40 C - threw it over while it was wet to check shrinkage and it looks like this is gonna turn out just right for me.
Sleeves and Body became a bit shorter while chest and shoulders almost remained the same. Looking forward to see how it fits when its dry.

I think it looks great @1fookntitefd. You might get some shrink in the length and sleeves after a wash also.

^ thanks! Will i get shrinkage in the shoulders or chest though??? I am hoping it wont get too tight where i wont be able to wear one of my favorite shirts anymore…

@1fookntitefd i washed mine at 40°C and got only a little shrinkage- thinking about giving this one the next wash at 60°C when in need… arms became a little bit shorter and the body too, plus a little hem-roll at the back of the shirt. shoulders/chest only shrinked on a minimum level. awesome shirt!

Nothing can ruin IH products. Wash it, wear it, have fun. That's why I buy IH.

@Giles any idea when you may be getting a restock on these bad boys?
