@Mizmazzle the hot soak was definitely needed for the size 3.
-
@Mizmazzle the length was the kicker for me. I never took any measurements, but it was the only one that felt too generous for me and the soak dialed it in.
-
how's the fabric feel compared to your 64 @Mizmazzle ?
Those hems look so thick and beeefy on these shirts. Pretty cool
-
@pechelman glad you asked, Phil. I was actually about to post about this for you a couple hours ago and got side tracked.
The 64 is like terry cloth sweatshirt and soft. Also much warmer. This Tricotine is not quite as thick but a bit denser. It doesn’t have the loft of the 64 so not as warm. The 64 is softer, but the hand of the fabric may end up being similar once the Tricotine reaches full break in…as of now, the Tricotine is more rigid with the 64 being a touch softer and more like a dense sweatshirt.
I’d say the nod in rigidness will give the Tricotine great fade potential while the terry cloth loftiness of the 64 will make it warmer and overall more cozy.
Based on hand feel, the Tricotine may be a hair heavier.

Scored this one a while back and still my favorite UES flannel.
-
That's definitely a nice colourway!
-
@RubyRae That is a stunning flannel, I can't believe I missed that one. Do you remember what season this was?
-
@Lowlander I think it was 2 seasons ago. UES was still slightly under the radar, and I got lucky looking at some sites. Interesting thing is it feels heavier than my other 14.5 oz UES flannels.
-
@RubyRae thanks! They make some great pieces for sure.
-
One month daily heavy wear on my tricotine shirt. This thing is awesome, I've gotten a bunch of compliments on it and it gets better everyday.
-
@freepickin those arm creases. Wow.
-
UES traveling shirt black.
IH 888 od 21Oz. -
@gr8-selvedge I have this in the standard denim version. I really dig it, especially that little bit of extra length that it offers. The inside label is a fun touch too, although I don't have any particularly interesting destinations filled in on it.
-
Only thing I have found with UES is you have to be careful how you wash it. Chinos shrunk by an inch in the length on a 30’c wash and a UHF shrunk very slightly all over though label in that is hand wash only.

Ordered two thermals directly from Japan, received in 5 days and the quality is amazing.
-
@Denimhead-0 2 is almost always better than 1

Linen jeans are awesome, never seen/felt anything like it
