IHSH-08ss - Super-Black - Super-Stealth, 16oz Western Shirt
-
Reading through this and the original 08 thread, it seems a lot of folks soaked their shirt when they got it, but it doesn't need soaked, right?
If it doesn't need it, is there still a good reason to soak it before first wear?
Thanks all in advance for your help. Picked up the last one of these, should arrive in a few days, hoping with all hope that it fits…

It doesn't need a soak since won't shrink and won't bleed. But I usually soak my shirts to remove the creases due to folding during shipping.
If you do soak it, keep it away from the kryptonite … I mean the spin cycle on your washing machine.

I soaked mine because it felt very stiff when I got it, but there was no starch in, as far as I could tell from the water in the tub. So you don't need to soak it.

The funny thing is, that I wore mine for 3 months (almost daily) and hand washed it twice, but it's still stiff as hell and can stand alone. Will it ever get soft? I doubt it…

Just..wow. I'd be sorry that I missed the boat on these, but for the even more compelling prospect of an SBG tuxedo top next winter. Can't wait!
