Robin is a neighbour and good friend. Here he is demonstrating how to get the clenches out. Ciggie on the go as per norm), but he has sailed solo non-stop round the world twice, he is in his 70's and smoking hasn't slowed him down a lot.

He was the first guy in the world to do it when all around him thought it impossible. He did it in Suhaili, which he built himself. He did it again about 3 years ago when he was in his late 60's in an Open 60. Towards the end of last night (this morning), I got him really cross, by insistiing that he must have felt that he had achieved something remarkable when he arrived back in Britain having circumnavigated the globe on his own for the first time, he maintains that all he was worried about was " where can a park my fucking boat"…G
