There have been a few mc thefts in my area. Plus some old dude mowed through a bike in my work parking lot. I don't know if this will help, but I don't think it could hurt. Pretty cool device, spot trace.
It texts me when the bike moves, stops and every 5 mins in between.
The app is easy to use and uses google maps.

Too busy riding and I forgot to share about the old guy fiasco in the parking lot.
So I get a call from a coworker that some old dude tried to park in the motorcycle parking and hit the bikes. 8 days old at the time! I flew down the stairs to check.
The guy drove off, but the congregation of smokers got pics & license plate numbers.
The car hit the cruiser and dragged it from the top of the pic at least 8-10'.
It ended up 3" from my bike and didn't even leave a scratch. Almost had a damn heart attack though.
Police were called and my coworker with cruiser is basically screwed. His bike was paid off and if they total it he wouldn't be able to replace it with out a lot more cash.
Here's they scene showing him holding his citation on the bottom right. My bike looks close, but I moved it back 5' from where they were nearly touching.

Oh boy. Feckin people. I'd be enraged.

@Giles, that's def a "need to want". Very nice indeed.
@summ3rhays, that's rough and on a positive note, you're a very lucky that there wasn't any damage done to your whip. -
What happens when you give a Belgian a BMW K1600 to play with?
Here's a before and after shot.

That's wild. I saw the first pic on IG today. That second pic is interesting to see where it came from.

The Wheels and Waves festival looks fun. Next year?

A photo of the new
BatbikeKawasaki Ninja H2 has been leaked. It's probably not the sort of thing that will interest people around here, but it's rumoured to have somewhere between 225 and 275 bhp. More details at Intermot tomorrow. -
Picked up my full motorcycle license today - now starts a long slog of saving up money and trolling craigslist for a decent 80s japanese bike between 500-1000cc and between $1200-2000. The hope is to have something by next spring.

congrats @irishexpat! Good luck hunting

Congratulations @irishexpat - now get yourself a bike!
@Giles you need to sort out your license first!
I'm currently feeling tempted by the BMW R1200RS, which was launched at Intermot today.

The new Ducati Scrambler.

Pretty slick. I like the classic. The green Urban Enduro doesn't have the right feel. Like they are trying to hard to make it off road. I was talking to the dealership today as I picked up my top box. They said it was the perfect time to unload my sport classic as the prices will likely now decrease with the new "retro" inspired offering.
I really like the liquid cooled bimmer. Good thing I can't even think of looking for a long time
@Giles, both those bikes are incredible. It would be a win win to nab either, but I think the first holds a slight edge aesthetically IMHO.
-
I'd agree with @summ3rhays that the first bike is nicer. But either would be worth owning.
Either the RS or the new R are likely to be my next bike. I've owned the outgoing R for the last three years, so no excuses unlike other posters, and the new models seem to be a step up.
And that gives me an excuse to post another photo.
Of course, I could always do something daft and buy the Eau Rouge…

I found a post about Auto Fabrica on Silodrome last night, and it seems timely.
