thanks for the answer…i´ve only worked with mopeds and scooters so far...but a "real bike" should be way more challenging and fun at the same time...only time can tell though and if i´m going to do such a project, i´ll def. update in here o/course!...
Wondered this same thing. My dad had an old Norton (probably late 60's early 70's) sitting in the garage since I was a kid. Probably wouldn't take much work, but I couldn't sell my wife on the idea. Still not sure what to do about it as it is sitting at my sister's house.

Haha, probably need to take a look at it first, not sure exactly what condition it is in. I was having trouble convincing my mom to sell it.

IJ: What do you think of this thing: http://www.finn.no/finn/mc/used/object?finnkode=36207258&reference=2012%2F7%2Fvertical-6%2F25%2F8%2F362%2F072%2F58_207450812.jpg (don't know how much norwegian you can read, but the guy dismantled it, and don't have time to put it together again, price is about 2000 euros)

well, I speak swedish, so I can read norwegian…
If it's really all there, and only needs to be put together, and you get it around that 2K€, should be fine.
Also should be aesy to make a caferacer out of that.
(I really don't know that much about japbikes though, so I cannot tell you what to look for, ie probable problem areas?)

What's your opinion on Kawasaki 250tr, IJ?

Thanks for the feedback! Scouring local ads to find a good deal now give me a year and I'll pop by your neighbourhood in a old-new cafe racer
