IH-634-UHR - Ultra Heavy - Straight Cut Jean
-
Depends what size your 634S actually were when new/are now…
And take into account that the UHR will shrink and stretch as per the product description.
I guess I should have measured before I sent them in for a repair. Right now I'm debating between picking up a pair of the 634UHRs now and then getting a pair of the 634OD Blacks in November, or just waiting till November for the ODs. I guess I'm not sure if the UHRs are different enough from the standard 634s to warrant me getting them.
It isn't that the UHRs are cool, I'm just not sure if I'm developed enough in my taste to warrant it. And if I do pick up a pair I'd rather the waist didn't stretch to much.
Decisions … decisions.
Thanks for the help Giles, I do appreciate it.

Cant go wrong with either.

@Giles - any plans to do a new run of the 634-UHR in the new UHR denim? Cheers! mpp

Quick shoutout, and many thanks to Alex for help on sizing. Can't wait to start breaking these in rotation after my samurai 19oz jeans!
I've had the opportunity to handle both the IH 21oz sanforised and 25oz raws in person before, but never had a chance to obsess over the patch. So thick!

@Alex sizing is incorrect. They are listed as 1, 2, 3…

Deviation from the norm.

Just ordered a pair of these, can't wait to wear them! Excuse me if this is a novice question but just how important is it to wash this denim after the initial soak? Could you just do the soak, hang dry, and wear? Also, would a hot soak be advisable or should the initial soak definitely be cold?

Hi @Costch
The washing part is to try and agitate the denim after the soak to get rif of most of the shrinkage. It is not required like the soak but recommended.

My 634 UHRs after 33 months, worn unwashed and unsoaked for a few months then machine washed up to 40C.
